Take a few boxing classes.
They teach you how to stand, how to hit and a fuck ton of cardio. You won't be fending off hordes of people Jet-Li style, but if you're lucky you can get in a good sucker punch then run like the dickens.

Wraps
Get some chicken filet, pref.. 1 kg.
Cut it into mouth pieces, slab half a tub of salsa on it, put back in fridge
Chop bellpepper, tomatoes, iceberg salad, put into bowl
Get some good wraps with herbs in it, or tomatoe/garlic etc.. Or make your own.
Make some avocado dip, google
Take some feta and slice it into small cubicles
Take the chicken, throw it into pan and flash heat until its a bit charcoald but still soft inside, if you want you can add kidney beans/ rice.
Take the wrap, put it into oven or pan to soften it up, put some miraxle whip* on the whole wrap, put your iceberg salad, then add tonatoes/ bellpeppers.
Now add the chicken/ beans to the wrap, do as much as you want, or until the wrap can almost not get closed.
Take your avocado dip, and sour cream, and nake 2 lines with it along the whole wrap.
Then you add the feta cubicles, can be a bit to give a nice but not ocerwhelming cheese taste.
Close it up and enjoy, i could eat this all day

It's pefect. For bulking, you get fast protons wth the chicken/ beans and slowly working ones with the sour xream/ feta cheese., also has some good carbs. If you dont like it, you can switch the salad. For some better one
Dressing up chicken is awesome, the gentle flavor of the meat compared to something like pork or beef makes it perfect for that, and the simpler the better

I have four 1,000 kilocalorie meals per day. Each meal consists of 30% of a protein source, 30% of a carbohydrate source, 30% of a fat source, and 10% of a micronutrient source.
So for example, a possible meal would be 30% chicken breast, 30% brown rice, 30% almonds, and 10% carrots.
For each meal, I want a different protein source, carbohydrate source, fat source, and micronutrient source. So for example, if I eat chicken breast in one of my meals, none of the other meals are allowed to have chicken breast.

How do I deal with fitness related depression? I've been working my ass off these past two months and I've gone from a size 42 to 38 pants. Dropped from 270 to 240. I look in the mirror and see no change.
I know there's been a change since my clothes fit differently now, but I still have a huge gut and fat all over. It's really depressing. lucky for me this depression has killed my appetite, I no longer even feel hungry.
It's not even time missing unhealthy food, I'm absolutely disgusted by it now. I just hate looking at myself and the lack of change I've seen in this much weight loss. It makes me feel like even if I drop to 200 I won't tell the difference. My goal is eventually 160, but I'm going for 200 by these next few months.
And I've lost the weight by doing cardio 5 times a week and weight training 3 times a week along with a 1500 calorie diet.

Did you take a before picture? If not, take one now. Because the process is so slow it can be hard for you to see a difference as the months go by.
Something that also helped me was graphing my weightloss, like weight myself once a week and graph the point from where I am to where I want to be and when. It's great for people who are more visual than numerical, which you seem to be.
I went from 210 to 160 last year and to tell the truth I look in the mirror and see no change as well. But none of my clothes when I was 210 fit and when I look at pictures I can tell the differences especially in my face.
What I would do is take a photo now. Drop more weight then look back at that photo. I would take both a front and side view.
In reality you see yourself everyday. You drop 1 pound a week your mind accepts that's what you look like. So if you got from 270 to 240 in one day you would notice. But going from 270 to 240 over a few months, your mind doesn't remember you looking like 270. Your mind says your 240 shape is, well, you. I hope that make sense. But anyways your not alone and keep up the hard work. I know it ain't easy and if you fall off the wagon one day get the fuck back on.
Take a picture and look at it every time you feel depressed. You should have taken one when you began.
Anyway, about your gut, it's just that you can't really choose where you lose your bodyfat from. You will lose it, but it probably won't be all from where you want. Look at your arms, below your armits, back of the legs and so on. There's probably a ton of fat there, still waiting to be lost.
I used to weigh 253 lbs, and got down to 200 without seeing much difference. Except, like you said, the size of the pants.
