Hi /fit/
I only just started gymming last week, lifting weights. I already do enough cardio as I walk/jog regularly.
I need to lose about 10kg of fat but would also like to build some muscle as my upper body is quite weak, I am somewhat skinnyfat.
Is it possible for me to make muscle gains while on a calorie deficit to lose weight? Or do I have to bulk up first and then lose the fat or the other way around?
Sorry for the newfag question
Pic related is similar to my body type, I just have a little more belly fat
>do I have to bulk up first and then lose the fat or the other way around?
the other way around
Strenght training + low cal diet and you'll get there eventually

>Is it possible for me to make muscle gains while on a calorie deficit to lose weight?
you're skinnyfat, so yes, it's possible. Workout hard every single day. Diet hard every single day. Chug green tea when you're hungry. You will gain muscle and lose fat. This will only last you a limited time. Once you start getting leaner, it will become necessary to increase calories to gain muscle. Now, lift for 6 months and don't create another thread until you've lurked more.
Hey /fit/ is it worth it to get a massage for muscle aches? Ever since i've started working on a dock my whole body has kinda had a dull ache and i usually wake up stiff. I'm thinking a massage would help, i already stretch everyday but it doesn't seem to help much. I haven't been working out since i've started working but i ohp and squat stuff with good form as i work.
Any advice on dealing with this?
No, people dont get messages to help soothe muscle pain, it doesnt work.

All of the strongest men in the world popped the strongest sup: cock.
We get it, you like dicks, you like dicks in your mouth, you like dicks in your ass. You want to wake up every morning to a throbbing cock in your ass, and a limp penis in your mouth. You want penis in you morning, noon, and night. Instead of preworkout you guzzle cum, and for posworkout you gobble more peen.
Instead of GOMAD you do GODAD: gallon of dicks a day.
This is the key to real strength, none of you niggers can refute this truth.
>bodyweight
not really gonna help. you need heavy weights
do weighted hip thrusts, squats, lunges, and consider doing oly lifts like snatches
>>42600925
oh yeah the warm up part is bodyweight just so I can start activating my glutes, the rest of the exercises are all weighted

>came in 2008 when I was 14 for memes and shitposting
>failure of an athlete in high school cuz delayed puberty, ragdoll on the football field
>was talented and athletic once I started to mature and showed promise in club rugby before quitting after one season
>fell for crossfit meme and snapped shit up, was shit at lifting in first place
>started messing with weights again from 19 to 21 on and off, was a tryhard gymcell
>started properly lifting at a few months after turning 22
>now 23 as of August
>bench 260 for 5X5 and 280 for 3 rep max
>deadlifting and bb squatting I choose not to do cuz of previously snappin shit up even if healed cuz wanna join Marines
>can still casually deadlift 4.5 plate when I try it; core work, rack pulls, and machines fill in
>16 minute 2-mile (Im a filthy casual)
>12 pullups (really lazy about it)
>tfw pic related is autobiographical
Well shit. Now this place is embedded in me even if the memes are now just annoying.

Forgot to say:
Post yer /fit/ journeys brehs
Stated lifting junior year of high school because I was tired of being small, though I would be strong for my weight, I was wrong
Kept lifting through end of school, went to college and was an alcoholic for a year, last year started being serious again, got up to 130/220/365/395 for my lifts, then had to stop for a month for cross country camping. Lifted all summer after that and still lifting

Here's two I made; first one's more hardcore hip-hop and the second one's edgy shit like Linkin Park. Find what gets you going and just throw all that shit into audacity. If you're going to use any of mine, I recommend the second one. (Both have a motivational speech at the start for when you're warming up)
hey /fit/, recently I've been trying to get a six pack (about 30 second planks 5 times a day) and just get more stronger in general, I do 30 pushups (just before the planks) and I'm seeing minor progress I think on my arms and chest yet my stomach looks the same, what are good ways to get abs because planks aren't doing anything. (now that I finished typing I'm wondering why I went here in the first place even, oh well) Oh and pic unrelated I hope I explained this well a bit.

Aight so I need a little help with something. My diet is amazing, I hardly cheat and I stick to only what I need. The issue is I'm inconsistent as fuck.
I have to eat 4 oz of chicken and 1 1/2 cup of rice 4 times a day, not including my breakfast or my night time shake. It's getting insanely hard to fit these meals into my daily schedule and I'm missing them because of it which leads to what I'd think is a stall in progress. What do?
Also the fact that choking that shit down each time is taxing enough
>>42600311
Intermittent fast
I'll be taking up swimming soon. What's better if my goal is to build the most stamina
HIIT or swimming for lengths? Aka Low intensity steady state cardio
>>42600081
Stamina is for HIIT, endurance is for steady state, so HIIT in this case.
If you mean overall cardio gains, then do both. The higher your threshold the easier time you'll have maintaining a slower pace for extended periods.
I'm pretty much finished novice progression and want to start a cut. Is it okay to start 5/3/1 bbb? I feel like the slower progression will be easier to maintain
Are these shoes /fit/ approved for working out?
What shoes does /fit/ wear?
pls ignore the stains
>>42599349
These shoes approved for going to Gender Studies classroom ; local video arcade with multi-selection machine including Joust, Defender, Robotron, and Xevious
These shoes approved for going to Jimmy Johns for a #1.
>all else not worthy.
>>42599349
Yea they're fine, I wear a pair of old vans to the gym for weight lifting. Anything that has a relatively flat sole is good to wear when you go lift.
>>42599416
ty bb. If I'm gonna start going to the gym I don't want people to be laughing at my light weight AND my shitty clothing
