How can I do sit ups without killing my back? I've been doing a lot of sit ups these past few weeks and It's been killing my lower back. Definitely not muscle pain, it's like my bones are hurting. I've also tried a mat, but that didn't help, I even tried doing them on my bed but that was a whole different set of problems.

I'm only 20, so not old.

You lower back shouldn't hurt. Are you doing the movement correctly? I've seen a lot of people using their psoas muscles to power their sit-ups, and that can really hurt your lower back. You should be doing thoracic spine flexions only.

I started out doing them fast as fuck because that's what I learned in school gym class. After a while I realized I was just using momentum and not actually using my muscles. For the past week or so I've been doing really slow ones, but the pain persists.

Only seafood you should eat is Pacific scallops, shrimp, oysters, clams, mussels, herring, and anchovies. These are all low in mercury.

When it comes to salmon only eat Wild Alaskan or Wild Pacific Salmon. Those are very safe with respect to mercury. Don't eat farmed salmon.

Yep, thats what i thought. Im already dieting and exercising (swimming + gym + gymnastics)at least 3 times a week. I went from 105 kg to 96 in a month

There's 400 different psychological theories /fit/ could come up with, but the best reason I've found to not take your girl is that she WILL get in the fucking way. Need a dude to spot you? She'll want to be your spot. Want to blast out a bunch of sets/drop sets? Not without her getting involved. Feeling your muscles as you OHP, pinching your ass as you squat heavy, watching you do lift after lift and wanting to somehow get involved and be a part of the experience... Especially if there are other girls there, back to "theories", but if she sees other girls watching you, she might want to show that you're her property by touching up on you and feeling you up as you lift.

If you're a typical man on top of this, it will make you ego lift because there will inevitably be stronger dudes in the gym lifting more weight than you, which in reality isn't a problem, but now she'll be watching.
