GYM OR HOME?
Starting with SS, would you guys recommend buying a barbell, bench and some cast iron weights or getting a gym membership.
Gym membership is good because all of the equipment but pure form fear cuz im a fag and £30 a month plus £60 a month purely on fuel (i live in the sticks) make me wanna do home.
Home is good because I dont have to leave my house but bad because I'm just gonna have to keep buying more weight as I progress and I'll progress quickly.
Pic related.
GYM! there are enough cheap gyms out there.
imo buying your own weights is a waste of money. they will catch dust eventually.
maybe start selling your body to afford yourself that gym membership.

Would having to go to the gym be an obstacle?
ie. 'I want to workout but fuck it, I am not going'
I'd recommend buying a second hand bench, bar weights and dumbbells. They can be had cheaply on second hand sites and thrift stores precisely because a lot of people impulse buy a set and then somehow don't do anything with it.( I'll never understand why you would bother going to the gym but not bother with home equipment, it doesn't make any sense)

It wouldn't be an obstacle psychologically, just financially like I said.
My closest gym would be around £5/$8 in petrol per trip. 3 times a week thats an extra 60 a month, 5 times a week thats an extra 100 a month.
Are hack squats massively underrated for leg hypertrophy by /fit/?

>ruins it with a fucking tattoo
Why do people do this? When will this trend end?
I fucking absolutely hate 99% of the tattoos I see.
I don't let it change my opinion of people but it's hard not too, they're so FUCKING tacky.

When doing squats, do you count your body weight too?
>>39482097
Only from the waist up.

ITT talk about ideas and things that you do to aide in your goal of being /fit/. Habits you have, things you do, things that have influenced your training, diet, recovery, goals, anything...
Example:
My Saturday morning ritual has really kept my weekly diet in check and has given me something to look forward to after eating fish, chicken, rice, and broccoli all week.
I make the most insane breakfast of champions ever conceived.
>5 whole eggs with onion, poblano peppers, cheddar cheese, and spinach
>5 slices of thick cut pork bacon
>3 homemade bannock bread biscuits with cinnamon and blueberries
>2 pieces of toast with homemade strawberry jam
>tall glass of orange juice
>tall glass of ice cold milk
>a pot of gourmet Colombian coffee
It's not really a cheat meal per say it just allows me to have a better relationship with food and breaks the monotony of pre prepped meals I throw in the microwave all week.
>>39434673
I've started to prep my meal often, which I haven't been doing lately. I've gotten lazy in terms of meal prep after finishing bodybuilding competition so I have got to up my game. Eating is gains.
My main motivation for staying fit is that now no one yells at me to dig faster or the imaginary tanks will run me over. I don't have to eat bromide laced beans every day. I don't have to stand guard in front of a mens room in the middle of bumfuck nowhere in the rain for 16h a day pretending to guard something. I don't have to keep my head down while crawling under razor wire while under pretend fire.
I'm now grateful I get to eat my tuna in the morning and chicken in the afternoon. And whenever i think about doping the lifestyle I remember the cold rain on my skin while digging a ditch to shit in since only officers get to use the guarded mens room in the middle of bumfuck nowhere.
>>39434699
How many and which days of the week do you prep? I usually do it on Sunday and Wednesday.
Hi /fit/
Are you guys doing those close stance squats and what are the pros and cons of them?
...so far i saw just one guy doing them as warmup and with small weights..
I guess no one is doing them
Closer my legs are together the more quad activation I get.
Has /fit/ seen LeafyIsHere's blast on our green god?
No because I'm not in middle school so I don't watch youtubers

Guys please help, I quit smoking 6 months ago but my nose is still blocked on a daily basis.
I feel like I'm suffocating half of the time and I'm not even fat.
The doctor gave me some bullshit hayfever medication but I want to find the CAUSE of this problem.
Anybody ever experienced this? Pls halp
It took me a couple of years to get back to normal after quitting smoking. I didn't have a blocked nose, but I had a lot of mucus gathering in the back of my throat which was very annoying. I have no idea when it stopped, but at some point it did. I no longer remember how many years it has been since I quit smoking.
>>39434164
Thank you bro, I'll wait a bit more then
>>39434137
How long did you smoke?
