I fucking LOVE DOMS, feels like progress. I keep training. Might have to do a little less on a given day, but I still do as much as I can. I'd say unless you're doing a 1 muscle group a day kind of thing (day 1 chest, day 2 arms, day 3 back, day 4 legs, etc), you're overtraining going in 6 days a week.

There's a few runners in my building and I always see them running around and they're all lean n tight, no skinnyfat look at all. Even the grill that runs with them has a washboard stomach with abs. All they do is cardio.
They're probably doing HIIT. Sprinting will make you ripped, whereas distanced running will result in you looking like a hungry skeleton.

A lot of serious runners also do calisthenics and work to build mass in their leg muscles for powering over hills. You just may not see that part.

I'm a 30 y.o guy who is basically a hermit/shut-in. Lifting for nearly 5 years now, never bothered cutting, always sat around 18-20% BF. Never saw the point of cutting due to the fact I have no social life or ever talk to women.
Would going from 18-20% to 10-12% BF turn me into an out-going person (i assume I'd still be exactly the same)

I use the 3 lb. dumbbells all the time for curls and shoulder raises since my gym has dumbells in 5 lb. increments only. 35+3 = 38lbs, much better step up %-wise than 35 right to 40 for progressive overload.

I like to keep to myself a lot, but after about a month or two at my regular gym the girls and guys at the front desk are all my friends that I hang out with outside of the gym. The small talk we have while they scan my key tag is just enough every day for them to get comfortable enough to talk to me more and more. Every gym I go to I make friends with the regulars to the point where it gets annoying and distracting.
