Great exercise. It's somewhere between a deadlift and a squat. Definitely worth doing every so often.
Far more natural travel path than an actual deadlift. Since the concentration of the weight travels up your midline as opposed to just in front of it, like a deadlift.
I prefer it to deadlift atm since my back has tightness.
More leg development than deadlift too.

What should I look for in a gym?
I'm looking at getting into fitness stuff, and I've read the sticky, but I don't have any idea how to choose a good gym.
Are there any big red flags that the newbie wouldn't know about? Is a YMCA good?
I'm mostly looking for a place to go and do my workout since I don't have anywhere I can set up a bench or the like in my apartment, and I'll probably stay on track better if there's no computer around to distract me.
I go to my local YMCA, it's in a suburb, and very nice. I go in the early afternoon in the weekday, and theres nothing but old people and the occasional college guy/girl in there. Free weights all to myself.
You can make due with pretty much anything so long as they have a rack. Some way to do dips would be something to look out for but you can figure something out if that's not explicitly available.

You could also get a standing desk. Yoga balls are alright, and definitely fun, but there are tons of options for ergonomic seating. The best thing to do, however, is be active outside of work

I've been on using a squat program that has really increased my numbers, but under heavy loads and longer sets I feel !y form break down a bit. I've seen so many different people use belts, sleeves, wraps, etc. for squats and wasn't sure what to get. What does fit use?

Ive never used a belt before, and my current maxes are Sq:415, DL:405, Bch: 255. Will using gym equipment add any extra numbers to my maxes? I've heard people get 20+ extra lbs from belts alone.

So my wrist pains were getting the best of me and I finally took 2 weeks to deload and let them heal. They felt good again and I started back on my routine a couple weeks ago but of course with much lighter weights so I can work on form and slowly build back up to where I were before (im doing stronglifts btw) and just as I thought I was improving my form my wrist started fucking hurting again.
Mainly my left wrist and it happens after I do OHP or bench. What the fuck can I do? I fucking hate this deload bullshit and it feels like I've already tried every trick in the book to improve my form. I'm not even lifting heavy and my wrist starts hurting like a motherfucker.
