>OHP after bench
>>39487863
I do this every work out whats the problem OP?
>>39487908
Gud album
>>39487908
It reduces the amount I can OHP by like 33% compared to OHP then bench
i may be a 0th percentile turbodyel but it's frustrating
What do I add to my routine for aesthetics?
I've been doing a powerlifting routine for almost 16 weeks. My numbers are pretty OK and I've built up some strength.
I'm going to be cutting for the next 6 months to prepare for summer. What routines or exercises are best for looks? What has worked for you?
Heavy OHP for wide thick upper pecs
farmers walk and wrist curls for juicy forearms, calf raises for juicy calfs
>Rep ranges 8-12
>Isolation exercises
>Low bodyfat
There you go anon that's it
>decide to look back at old progress pictures
>look at all the pics i was ESPECIALLY proud of when i took them
>all carefully named, dated and sorted
>some have little happy faces or exclamations drawn on them in MSPaint I was so happy
>they all look like complete shite
Holy fuck I cant believe I used to be proud of this garbage. Its downright embarassing. And the worst part is, I still look like crap.
How come I only suddenly realised this now?
The first day you step into the gym is the day you will forever be small.
and by that I mean you have body dysmorphia
>>39487704
It definitely isnt that lol
unless you mean i was dysmorphic before because i used to think i looked at all like someone who exercised
>>39487698
Thought I made it in just my first year with a underwear pic, smug face, and thumbs up. What a fucking fool I was.
At what point in the lifting career do you go from IMPRESSIVE to DISGUSTING?
Don't say it never happens, women all agree at a certain point it just becomes gross
Literally impossible without steroids.

This x 1000

Usually when you are good looking enough that you're the one turnung down women

Rub it with spices until you find something that works, put it in the oven and check back in 25-30 minutes
Bulk or cut?
Regards, your skinnyfat neighbour
>>39486856
Bulk and lift hard. You're not quite fat enough to really cut.
>>39486865
Can i achieve visible abs by bulking and lifting hard? Or what should i do to get to see them
>>39486856
what about actually lifting?
Could someone explain me why making gainz with a relatively low body fat percentage isnt possible?
I dont really get why 'bulking' is necesarry for gaining muscle
>>39483683
It is.
It's not.
You're not supposed to get fat.
You don't need to "get fat" to gain muscle. You could hit all of your macros and eat just lean protein while not really gaining a lot of weight but that's hard for most people as it would require well proportioned meals, free time cooking, etc.
Usually people just increase their overall calorie intake and then gain some fat because of it.
>>39483683
The bulking/"you have to get fat to get fit" meme is perpetuated by people with low self-control that don't want to diet and idiot powerlifters like Mark Rippetoe.
Rippetoe's programming and dietary advice is based around getting as strong as possible as fast as possible. Sure you'll be a fat fuck but you'll be able to deadlift 450 and squat 300.
Dipshits and neckbeards then parrot this shit on places like /r/Fitness to newbies and completely ignore the fact that the programming isn't suitable for the fitness goals of any of those people.
> Person: "hey I want to lose 30 lbs for a wedding next summer and maybe get a little stronger, what should I do?"
> /r/Fitness: GOMAD AND STARTING STRENGTH
14 months progress. Rate ? Tips? Be harsh.
Do dips and more lat shit.
amazing, looking better than me after 4 years. Too lean to be honest you might not be growing that much with that low bf
>>39483257
Wow great progress. Looking much better than before.
Need a second gym membership for long work days and of is my only option. Is it really that bad?
No free barbells, only Smith machines.
So yes.
>>39483078
This, everything is also fucking purple. I popped my weight cherry there but after three months I ran out of weight. If you don't care about using Smith machines and being surrounded by retards then go ahead. Only plus is the chicks. But better gyms have better chicks anyway.
There are way better options. Planet Fitness is not even a real gym, and most of the members are ham planets or skeletons.
Can you develop a good physique with a kettlebell?
I have $20 and was thinking of buying a 16kg one.
>>39482393
Please let me know where I can buy a 16kg kettle bell for anything less than $40
fuck no just buy a dumbbell
>>39482393
Good but not great. Better for cardio than muscle so you will get better results if you are fat then if you are thin.
Explain why you don't eat meat.
I don't want cancer and heart disease.
l want cancer and heart disease.
I don't need to

Korn is fucking awesome bro. What do you do? Mostly lift? I do cardio and lift becAuse I like having a slimmer body
Allegaeon, equilibrium, ensiferum, Eminem
Generally just pleb shit that gets me pumped. Try preaching the machine by allegaeon. That song always gets me pumped no matter where I am until I remember that I don't have a gf and I just wanna kill myself.
Manual labour people here? Do you still go to the gym after work? Natty or sterons? Do you just eat and sleep in your free time? I find it impossible to do proper training and do my job as well without feeling fucking winded.
>Lift for many years
>Start doing physical labour (electrician)
>Start to have lower back problems
>Stop lifting, even though technique is pretty good
>Lower back problems stop
Why should I go back to free weights and training more than once a week just for teh feels and sauna? Walking and doing calisthenics/few machines keeps my mass. I don't need gorilla strength to do my job and I have endurance most gym faggots don't have.
Granted I'm no model but what's your excuse? Sometimes I wish I could have a sedentary job so I could get back to weights, it has a very good feeling to it and is good for my joints but I can't go to the gym and do my job properly without pain.
How do you manual labour guys do it?
>manual labour
>electrician

Shit man your job is way easier than mine and I still lift 6 days a week, I deliver drywall and steel so I'm constantly carrying drywall up stairs and lifting it through windows and carrying steal through apartment buildings
It's basically a 9 hour a day full body workout and my gains improved a lot since I started working this job especially in my forearms and lats
I'm really depressed and I know I'm getting exposed to more depression by asking in fourchan, but here it goes:
I have two dumbbels but im only using one to focus better and isolate exercises.
I started with 12kg/26lb for biceps curls
I use 22kg/48lbs for one arm dumbbell row
I'm trying 17kg/37lb for military press
The max i can put in a single dumbbell are 6 plats of 5kg = 30kg/66lb
I've read that with this tool at my disposal, it's too little weight to grow muscle. is it true?
No you can grow muscle, the body reacts very well to any kind of stimuli in the beginning. However once you have surpassed your noob gains, you won't really gain any longer
>>39488590
So how much can you accomplish by using a dumbbell that can only get 30kg/66lbs in total?
you'll probably get demotivated at your lack of results and quit lifting if you expect much from that. Go to a gym or get more weight for the dumbbells.
