How do I know if I have this? My left side under and to the far left of my rib cage has been hurting when I push on it for the past 3 days. It hurt a few days ago when breathing heavily too. The pain is mild and only manifests while breathing deeply or pushing on it (as of today it doesn't hurt while breathing at all) when the pain does appear it is almost like a runners ache when you're out of breath.
I have liver pain sometimes because I am a recovering alcoholic and this pain isn't bad. I've had it worse before (on my left side which I think is pancreas not liver) and it went away.
Do I have to go to the doctor or will it be fine as long as I don't drink alcohol?
>>39496114
Go to a doctor.
>>39496126
I don't have insurance desu
>>39496114
If you had pancreatitis, you wouldn't just have some pain when push on your abdominal wall. You would be screaming 24/7, pancreatitis causes insane pain. The pain should also feel like a tight belt around your whole waist, from the back too. So no, you probably don't have it.
t. 3rd year med student, so take this with a grain of salt.
Hi /fit/, I starting doing Gallon Of Milk a Day (GOMAD) + Starting Strength (SS) like the sticky suggests. After about 2 months, I have gained 45 pounds of solid muscle and went from Auschwitz mode skelly to decently swole. However, I still am very farm from my goal physique (bearmode). So I was thinking of adding SOBAD to my diet (Stick Of Butter A Day). Has anyone tried this with decent results? Share diet suggestions.
Just switch out the whole milk for sweetened condensed milk.

> 2 months

I know it's not much but I just can't eat any more. I am a "hard gainer" as you might call it but not hard enough I guess haha.

> he says he wants to do exactly what I do
> doing 5x5 deadlifts today for forearm volume work
> tell him he's gonna get fucked up if he does my routine
> won't listen and now I'm waiting in the lobby for him
How I break it to him, /fit/?
>>39496017
You take him through the workout. Make him suffer
Just tell him what all instructors say. He will be able to do what you do in a few months, it just has to be a gradual process like growing a plant. You cant dump tons of water on a seed and expect it to be a tree overnight.
>>39496017
you could modify your routine and go easy so he doesnt break himself.
then afterwards when he is a little sore you can let the cat out of the bag and he might understand ho fucked he might have been.
>that first sip of the day, eh?

Take off hoser.

the jews already control you
Coffee, especially black coffee is really good for you.
Unless you're dependant on the caffeine to get through your day though. But I'm sorry hockey-nigger, DD is the Greatest.
Anyone here know anything about Vitamins?
I heard that multivitamins was a meme, and thought that you guys might know a thing or two.
I'm looking for advice regarding which vitamins are essential for good hair, skin, and general aesthetic development, and in which consistency; Pills, powder, etc.
>>39495609
Pills are the best, gummies and powder are shit and they don't work that well compared to pills
But yeah, most of /fit/ is pretty much love-hate relationships with vitamins since already the brotein powder has some of them so you only need a good diet in order to get your daily intake of vitamins
But IMO, i'm a cardiobunny that wants to do HIIT so multivitamins are good for me
it all depends of the person desu, so my personal recommendation is the One a day brand senpai
Anyway, haven't been on /fit/ for a while so there might be some changes on the diet that /fit does and what they take as well so maybe an anon will give you a better recommendations
Multivitamins are mostly overhyped commercially, just buy a cheap one you find and take it. However you should focus on incorporating those vitamins through actual food. Eat your vegetables.
The only vitamin supplement I personally noticed a difference from is Vit D3, helped my mood and energy a bit. Definitely try it out at least, specially if you stay a lot indoors or live somewhere with shitty weather.
For better skin and hair google a skincare and hair routine, specific products will do much more than a multivitamin will, although you can only do so much and will come down to your genetics to get truly great hair and skin

"powders are shit"

Which is more impressive:
Breaking 5 minutes for the mile?
or
Bench Pressing 300 lbs.
Bonus points: are both possible by the same athlete?
Discuss, faggots (not that you can do either).
I've done both. about 5 years apart tho.
I'd say the 5 minute mile is more impressive because the pain is consistent. I wanted to give up and die for 4 and half minutes.
>>39495173
To be a good miler one needs natural talent and a shitload of hard work. Lifting heavy weights just requires the shitload of hard work. There's an element of genetics when it comes to physique, but bench pressing doesn't require talent.
Not sure if that means the mile is more impressive because not everyone can do it or the bench press because it's pure hard work (/roids).
>>39495173
I'd say breaking a 5 minute mile, because I can bench press 308 for two when sick, hungry and sleep deprived, but I've never managed to run a mile faster than 6,5 minutes.
I have tried googling the answer and looking at articles but they all say different things. I want someone on here who has good knowledge on muscle growth to please tell me the best rep range to build the most amount of muscle.
6 or 7 reps are what you're looking for
>>39494877
PPL 6 times/week
6 exercises per muscle group: 2-3 compound exercises, 3-4 isolation exercises
Always 4x8. Be really slow during the distention. It's the most important part of the exercise, where you really rip open the muscle fibers, prompting more gains.
No half-reps or other bad form faggotry. Forget about looking cool by lifting heavy weights. It's more important to lift correctly, and very very slowly on the distention, even if you have to use lower weights.
Always "go down" all the way. Like curls, for example, the exercise begins when your elbows are at 180 degrees. No stopping at 160degrees like some poser faggot.
Everything more than one rep is cardio and more likely to injure you.
Someone post scientific proof that the "calories in/calories out" meme actually works.
Sounds way too good to be true.
read the sticky and do SS+GOMAD

What causes collarbone pain? (especially just on one side)
Obviously, it depends on what you've been doing. For me personally, if I favor one arm while
Doing weighted dips, it'll cause collarbone pain
I've had this. I went to a physiotherapist and she noticed that when I raise my arms, the scapula on that side doesn't move as much as the other. So in my case it was tightness in the upper back that probably came from sitting hunched over in front of the computer all day at work and at home.

>weighted dips
Hey guys,
Although I have lurked here for a long time I've just started getting into being /fit/. I'm looking for advice as to what my workout schedule should be. I'm MTF trans, so I'm obviously not looking to gain mass and I'd like to avoid weights wherever possible.
Do you have any thoughts?
