Unless you are already playing sports and doing calisthenics, your body will burn out too quickly. You could just work through the DOMS, but your muscles won't have enough time to heal. Ideally, what you could do was a 5 day split like ZYZZ's template with the powerlifting say on Saturday off and use that for legs or rest.

I'm thinking about setting up my own home gym. And since I already have some plates with 30 mm holes in them, I am thinking about getting one of these thin and cheap bars.
I'm not going to load more than 4 plates, so will it be fine?

They'll bend before they break. I have cheapo warehouse store barbell and have had well over 3 pl8 on it.
The limitation is space for plates more than Bar tolerance.
Somethings to consider: Thinner bars are springier for the squat. This can be bad.
The smaller grip will mean you don't train grip quite as much.
That said though I find that squats are much harder with the thinner bar and i get satisfying results from less weight anyway.
How do I transition from a bulk to a cut?
I've been eating around 2800-3000 a day. If I drop down to 1800-2000 I feel weak and light headed. If I go to the gym all the weights just feel extremely heavy.
Should I drop down to 2500 and then just add in cardio?

If you've been eating 2.8-3kcals, then look to eat 2.3-2.5kcals. You don't need to eat at a 1kcal deficit. And yes, steady state cardio will help you burn fat.
Youre supposed to just drop the calories from one day to the other in order to take advantage of your hormones still being in an anabolic state. When you want to bulk again first eat at maintenance for a couple days
As for feeling weak, its normal. Cutting sucks. If you want to eat a bit more and add cardio do LISS instad of hiit, although 500 extra calories a day is too much, it should be like 100-150, unless youre doing cardio for hours a day
