The thing is, the tests are on a bike with a certain resistance, quite high. The warmup is 5 minutes with this load and after that it's going to increase until you can't cycle no more.
You then get graded depending on how many minutes you last after the warmup...
So now to the point, how do I most effectively train for this?

so i'm coming back from a long break off lifting. just doing my own version of strength oriented PPL.
lifts before i slacked off at about 150lbs
bench 245x1
squat 375x1
dead 405x1
i've got my head in order now and am eating like a cunt so i'm 160lbs for only the second time in my life. lifts should be close previous by now. i'm going to keep the PPL until i stall out on weighted chins. i don't plan on competing in PL in the future. i am more biased towards general strength and gymnastics ring work.
so my question is this: anybody done the westside conjugate style with more workout days? i'll try it out but not quite sure how to program if i have emphasis on gymnastic work (heavy upper pulling) as well.

I can either eat a smaller volume of junk food which makes me feel like shit from all the salt. Or I can eat a ton of "clean" food and feel like I'm going to puke from stuffing myself.

eat as much food as you can, then drink a big shake at the end of the day to get the remaining calories. whole milk + chocolate whey + banana + peanut butter + honey is a good shake with tons of calories. some use oats in their shake as well, but I've never tried it

It seems implausible that you can have defined abs and a giant ass coexist. Such excess fat seems physically impossible to keep, even with large muscles underneath that fat.
