Has anybody had their "body composition analysis" done with an Inbody machine?
Went to a Nutristore and got shilled into buying some glutamine. I also got measured by pic related, got a big sheet of readout data, then came back 10 days later and did another. Apparently I put on about a lb of muscle and 3 lbs of fat in that time...
It's a bioelectrical impedance analysis , and while it looks pretty impressive and shits out a ton of numbers (water weight, dry lean mass, fat mass, BMI etc), from what I'm reading these things are a meme.
If these things are pure jewery, it sure seems like an expensive racket. but the store is just a few blocks from me, and it would be nice to have a somewhat reliable way to track these things for free. Or are they such a meme I shouldn't bother?
Also, anyone have any experience with glutamine?

We have a fancy one at my gym, the home scale versions are bullshit but the 6-point Inbodys are fairly accurate and repeatable.
Try this, go to the store and use it, then use it again right after. If you get different numbers then it's not calibrated correctly, assuming it's a real Inbody and not a knock-off.

So I don't quite understand. If you eat below your calories, you lose weight. If you eat more, you gain weight. But if you eat at your TDEE but are eating tons of protein and working out hard, do you both lose fat and build muscle? Or will your body "tone up"? Or can you only do it all in cut/bulk cycles?

Its not possible to eat at your exact TDEE because its different every day and you cannot measure it that precisely.
What you normally do tho is stay the same weight and tone up a bit. its a slow process and is very minimal.
Youd be better off to eat big on lift days and eat lean on cardio days.
Can you be poor and still make gains /fit/? I can't afford chicken breast everyday so is it even worth lifting if I can't afford enough dietary protein?
