i've had to quit lifting because of recurring pnuemothoraxs (air escaping lungs into chest).
I was in and out of the hospital a few times for these. It was always painful but only one required a chest tube.

one doctor suggested i get a surgery operation to prevent more from occurring. i forgot the name of it. something about gluing the expanding part to the entire wall.

i don't understand how lungs can even work without expanding. it would probably decrease lung capacity a lot. can someone explain this to me?
if i had this done could i ever into lifting again?
sounds like it would hurt my performance.

My parents are staunchly against me using whey because "it's not natural" ,"you don't know what's in it" etc. I'm a 19 year old skelly mode whose been lifting for a few months now but I'm struggling to meet my macros and stuff because they keep throwing out my protein. What do?

How the fuck do I get rid of huge amount of waterweight? I somehow managed to gain 8 lbs overnight, and there's no way in fuck that isn't water. In addition to drinking a fuck ton of water, what else can I do

how do you build conversation with girls?
also, to keep this /fit/ related, rate my daily shakers:
-3 nuts
-spoon of peanut butter
-1 scoop of whey
-1 banana
-1 egg
-2 scoops of oats
-5-6 blueberries
-400-500 mL of milk
twice a day.
i'm a begginer (2,5 months in) and i'm worried this is too much and and i'm packing too much fat. should i cut the PB?

but back to the previous topic. how do you keep a conversation going with someone you kinda know? this girl from my school talks to me but i feel like my fuel runs out too quick and i'm left looking like a complete mute autist 2 minutes into the conversation. how do you guys do it?

My gf and I have been together for 11 years so we've run out of shit to talk about pretty much too. She still calls every day we're not together and wants to talk for 30mins-2hours. After a while of this she said I was quiet one night and I explained that with the amount we talk, I'm gonna be quiet sometimes. Now we joke about how little I talk, and she's cool with it because most of the time she just wants someone to listen. I have no clue how she finds shit to talk about still.

So my advice would be just be completely honest. Listen to her, and think about things you could talk about. But if there's really nothing, then that's cool and just tell her you don't have anything. Worked for me.

Ask her a lot of questions about herself. Don't be too heavy handed with compliments always hold back. Don't be afraid to take risks i.e. jokes or risqué comments. If she is interested it will work if not it won't simple as that, how you say it is of little importance as long as you're not a total tard

When I bench press, the bar moves and it makes my arm move, I think i'm doing something wrong.

Why no bench and OHP on the same day?
Is OHP + flyes ok? Is Bench + side-lateral raises ok?

Why no rows + pullups on the same day?
Is pullups (or chinups or lat pulldowns) + rear delt flyes ok?
What can you do for back exercise including rows?

Is it too much arm work for a newbie that is doing compound oriented lifts?

Most newbie routines usually alternates OHP/Bench on A/ days, same with Rows/pullups.

I do both on the same day, feeling great, stil la noobie too. I just do AxAxAxx with full body on the same day. Just wondering if this is a no-no

My routine is:
Dumbbell bench
Lat pulldowns
Incline DB benchpress
(some times ab workouts here to get some rest)
Rows or rear delt flies (depends on fatigue)
Side lateral raises or OHP dependant on fatigue

I do deadlifts on monday, squats on fridays, first before the ordinairy routine.
