what are some essential books to read for a guy who lifts
I mean books that focus on training, not self improvement or philosophy or other stuff
Personally I have read or at least owned the following:
Starting Strenght; basic but a pain in the ass to read
SuperSquats
Beyond Brawn, totally autistic but very detailed
Bigger, Faster, Stronger, like a proto-5/3/1
The strongest shall survive, outdated SS with football emphasis
Training for Warriors/Warrior Cardio
Insane Training by Matt Kroc
I think the basics of training are well explained in the sticky without needing to spend money on books, but I want to expand my knowledge and read up some more
Right now I plan to buy pic related when im finished with my current books

I've been doing a set of exercises to strengthen my back every morning and core 5 days a week. I work in and office and im in agonising pain so I needed to try something to help with that.
Exercises:
Half crunch × 20
Bridge × 30sec
Side bridge × left and right 30 seconds
I recently started gym again and am currently doing the mark ripstop starting strength program.
Will these exercises screw with my gainzz or should I be fine to continue them?

Is this good progression for a month of solid work 7 days a week, doing 5x5 with as much weight as I can while still maintaining proper form?

You won't lose muscle until you're down to like 7% bf. You'll be weaker and softer though. Make sure to drink lots of water and I would take at least a double dose of multivitamin. Even if you do lose muscle, you can gain it all back in like a week once you start eating again, because when you lose muscle it doesn't really go away, it just sort of stays dormant and deflated or whatever
