https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gym
>Body management is gendered. Women arguably have the most pressure to maintain a "desirable" appearance. Especially in the contemporary West women are pressured to be thin while maintaining a curvy appearance. Regarding exercise women find aerobics makes them feel inadequate and view weightlifting as a masculine activity.[7] While men tend to have to walk a thin line when dealing with aesthetics in order to not appear feminine. Currently some of this tension has been relived because of the metrosexual movement which allows men who work on their appearance to be more socially accepted.[8] Some women face obstacle in the pursuit of fitness. Women tend to be more social in gym settings as they often go in groups and interact with other members. This can become a distraction from exercise. Women are also more likely to face “harassment” from the opposite sex. This is usually limited to unpleasant looks or unwanted conversation. But some men have been known to pursue their “targets” more actively, such as following them around the gym or figuring out their schedules in order to be present during their workouts. As a result some females actively try to avoid any interaction that would disrupt from their workout.[9]

>Gym staff are trained not only in fitness but in social interaction. Its nearly impossible to ignore the social culture created in these gyms and it causes deviation from exercise

>Supplements are the male equivalent of make-up, it provides hope.[12]

is Wikipedia correct?

Try meditation, boredom or doing light activities without background noise, music, tv shows. your mind processes what happens throughout the day and if you keep yourself busy and occupied, it postpones it to the evening, keeping you from getting sleep.

How does someone achieve a busty/thicc body through workouts when genes are not on their side? Say, they are born flat-chested and breasts are made of both fat and muscle, or more "aesthetically pleasing" pieces like hip dimples, or thigh gaps, or a raised butt, etc etc. Essentially, parts of the body that are based on genetics without any help from a diet, workouts, etc.
What workouts and foods can benefit this person? Should they go for foods like apples and nuts that have some estrogen, or would that be counterproductive due to the fact that said chemicals can actually make fat spread to other parts of the body as well?
Should they resort to using corsets/body-shaping articles of clothing to achieve a smaller waist or other desired shapes, or will that be too damaging in the long run if they aren't careful?
And how long should they keep said diets or lifestyles to prevent an overachieve, such as oversize of boobs that could cause back problems and issues like that? What would they have to switch to if they don't want that to happen?

>How does someone achieve a busty/thicc body through workouts when genes are not on their side?
You can't
Even if you got fat and then lose weight, it will just make it worse since you will never get boob gainz.

The only way a woman could have boob gainz is when she is a loli that has hit puberty and give her lots of estrogen food so i guess you're late.
But hey, if a woman is an adult DFC, she can get a nice firm ass with some squats so she can still become hot

Also she can become skinny but with a nice jawline like guys do as well

You DON'T. You work to have a PROPORTIONAL figure, and ignore stupid fads like having a big fat ass.

I know what you're trying to do; you're trying to have a classic 'hourglass' figure, when you're not built that way. Just stop. You'll end up looking like a circus sideshow freak, then when the 'fad' dies out, you'll be stuck looking that way forever.

Nothing will make the tiddy bigger. You can only improve the legs and remove fat.

I prescribe excessive amounts of deadlifts, squats, calf raises and jumprope.

Having a thick lower half and a soft upper half is nice. Some Hyung Tae Kim shit.

>>
why haven't they made any DDR games for the current console gen? did motion based gaming kill DDR since it's no longer unique? or are music games just dead due to oversaturation?

when should I switch off of a linear progression program to something else?

I think my noobgains have unfortunately dried up early. Stats:

ohp 110lbs 3x5
bench 170 3x5
squat 185 3x5 (had to take a break due to injury)
deadlift 260 1x5

5'11, 170 lbs

I dont understand why, but even after two deloads, my bench just stalled again tonight at 175 lbs (could only get two reps) and my deadlift as well (could only get three reps of 265). I eat 3400 kcal /day (overkill I know, but I'm still not progressing) and get 8 hours of sleep minimum per night. Following greyskull LP

Should I switch off onto something else? I dont understand what's wrong with me, it's really demoralizing.

one thing to note is I usually wake up at least once during the night when im sleeping

work on your form.

maybe don't deload just plow through that fucker. add weight in smaller increments than 5lbs.

you can add 1 2.5lb plate you know? even if it makes the bar uneven just add it to the left side. not a big deal.
>>
>>39649370
i didnt realize i could do that, since there arent 1.25 lb plates in my gym

i guess i could try that. should i like switch it up between sets or something?

How many ways do you hit biceps?

on my push day I am doing

Incline Inner bicep Curls 3 x 10 @ 30lbs
Standing Hammer curls 3 x 10 @ 20lbs
Lat Pull down 3 x 10 @ 70lbs? cable machine
Chin Ups 2 x 5 I suck at them

I do more stuff but those 4 things hit biceps.

I am 5' 10" and 30 years old, 170lbs and I cant get my arms to blow up. I've gained about 10lbs from amping up my Leg Day but my arms are staying around 14.5 inches. I feel like my arms are small compared to the rest of me.

Should I switch to 5 x 5 sets? Everything I am reading says high reps

Pic semi related. Its me 12 years ago.

and btw the biceps can take so much volume it's a joke, so don't be afraid to do more than 60 reps of bicep work per session.

Currently doing defrancos badass routine and it had me questioning his theories he claims
3x a week the optimal way to get gainz so your muscles can get optimal rest.
Is it? Or should I be finding a better routine I could probably easily commit 5 days a week. Am I squandering gains fit?

DeFranco's 5 Rules
1 – Train Three Days Per Week
"Recovery is the key to strength and looking good," says DeFranco. "You can't come into the gym sore because you won't have the strength or endurance you need for the workout."

But is three days really enough?

"If you're busting your ass and doing the right things, it is. Even if I had a guy who won the lottery and told me he could train as much as I wanted him to, I'd still keep him on the three-day schedule."

Is he right?

Guys I don't feel dumbbell flyes or cable crossovers in my chest...

I've been doing them for 6 months, watched tons of form videos, done them all the time in the gym, but I just don't feel my pecs working.

I put it on the lowest weight and focus on pushing the weights to where I want them to be by contracting my chest, but still feels like more arm involvement.

My theory is that my arms are weaker than my chest, so they are keeping me from flying/crossovering heavier weight which I would feel in my chest.

Is this right? What do?

i couldnt flex my chest right after i tore my connective tissue

ny bench is shit even 10 months later but its getting better. just gotta learn how to contract it better
>>
>>39649134
focus on squeezing in the middle

db flys are better i think. do one at a time and use your other hand to feel the pec thays working dueing your sets
>>
>>39649150
not him, but my pecs do flex when I do flyes, they just never get doms in the pecs like I would from heavy dumbbell press even if I do 3x12 or 5x15 of weight that I can barely finish with.

Who trains for tactical purposes?

Training my upper body has made it way easier for me to control my rifle, and I've found my groupings getting way tighter.

Also, I can move around in a plate carrier easier than I used to.

Anyone else notice similar shit?
