America is all about giving people what they want and not what they need. It's why high school (and college) curriculum has been dumbed-down to the point of being extended daycares and it's why they serve pizza at gyms.

There's just no discipline anymore, but there are plenty of lazy, self-professed geniuses sitting around wondering why they aren't getting paid more to sit around and wonder.

I need bench advice guys. I can do 1.5 pl8s for over 10 reps but I just can't seem to get 225 x 1.

When you guys started pushing 225 did you jump from 1.5 plates or so... or just micro-load until u hit 225?

Thoughts?

Don't try to go for huge jumps in weight like that, there's a big difference between 1.5 plates (I guess like 185 or something) and 225 lbs. Don't bother with 10 reps of your current weight, if you want to get stronger do something like 3x5 with a weight you can handle and steadily progress from there.

Hey /fit/ I was wondering if you guys could give me some advice about planet fitness. I'm a beginner and fairly out of shape. I've recently decided I want to get in shape, but even more so, I want to build MUSCLE. I've done a bit of research, and have figured out a good plan, but I really wanted to know is if Planet Fitness is right for me? Would you guys recommend it? It's the only place which I have access to atm. Advice would be appreciated!

Well this of course. I think it's silly to serve pizza and bagels when you're there to loose weight or maximize your gains. I just really want to body build.

How do you get your mind right on a cut? Those days in a row when you're low cal and kinda aggressive due to the cortisol increase or whatever. I need to lose 35lbs but I'm too mentally weak.

Busy yourself with anything else. I was out today since 8am, got back home at 10pm. Had a home made chicken sandwhich for the whole day. Came home and made myself some soup. Big ass bowl and only 130 calories.

Do IF on a 2/22 schedule. I don't even get hungry anymore except for right at my window time. Plus it gives me two relatively large meals instead of them pecks all day so I still get to feel like a fatty. Throw some YHCL and manual labor in there and you're a love handle shredding machine.

I chewed nicotine gum daily, every waking minute. It's just so easy to have another piece. This was for a few years. I lost a lot of hair, and wore my teeth down. I't also fucking expennsive over time. After a while it will probably do ntohing, so you might as well never start.

I am in need of your help /fit/. Please hear me out guys.

Probably the wrong forum to post on, but how can I practice for basketball if my legs are shit? Literally every basketball drill requires that you be squatting, and after an hour I'm pretty much done cuz I can't get low anymore.

You accidentally got to the point where you were lifting a good amount of weight. Try changing your program a bunch and de-loading to focus on form every 6 weeks, should help prevent any more actual gains.
