I always put my mobile phone in my pocket. Last week I decided to do it anymore. I noticed a better feeling in my mood.

I have theory that if you hold your mobile phone in the pocket, it decreases test production.

Is it possible to go from barely being able to swim down a pool lane to swimming 1500M in less then 35 minutes in 3 years?

I been for a start just improving my form and drown proofing myself by jumping into 9 feet deep pools and swimming for as long as I can. Any fishanons able to develop a guided plan?

Once you can do more than 12 laps you're just building endurance, not swim strength. Honestly, I'd try strapping some plates to a waist belt and doing 5 x 5.

It's not impressive until you can do 50 meters with at least 6 plates.

Tis the season for cookies and sugared meats and family parties, and I'm really dreading attending them while on a winter cut.
Not eating the food is fine for me, but how do I avoid hurting the feelings of my family members who made the food? I really would rather not cheat this year

Well I take it back, minor soreness isn't a big deal but DOMS should stop being a huge issue after like the 3rd week of lifting. Are you eating enough?

i am a DYEL and wanting to start a fresh year with a bang. i decided to check up with my friend to what i need to do, and he told me to get a gainerpack and add that with a proper diet so you can slowly start.

he open the local gymsite and pickout these, and tells me to pick and buy to start asap

A few months ago I pushed myself way too hard doing deadlifts and something went wrong with my lower back. After a few weeks of taking it easy in terms of exercise and performing a few stretches I went back to normal, but last week I was doing some knees to chest jumps as a warm up and the problem came back, worse than before.
Now I have trouble sleeping in certain positions, move around like an old man because my lower back, specially in the morning and night, hurts all the time. The pain has toned down a little (I stopped working out for three days) but it is still bothering me.
Should I go to the doctor or rest and do some stretches to recover?

try doing this with a tennis ball placed under the spinal erectors of whichever side of your back you fucked up. it's going to suck at first, but if you can't relieve your pain with this, then it likely isn't muscular and is probably skeletal, which sucks for you.

My gf is starting with this Ketogenic diet; she wants to lose some fat (belly fat mainly)
I wanted to know what /fit thinks about this diet.

It is a diet where you have to eat very little of things with carbohydrates (like fruits). and doing some research the idea is that when you don't eat sugar the body consumes the fat.

What do fellow college-fags do during winter break?

Luckily for me there's this meathead guido gym (guess my location lol) a few miles away from my moms house that does $20/week passes. Its great, plenty of barbells and plates, but the people there all look either like Pauli D or eddie hall. Quite different from my uni gym.

All I've been doing is eating holiday meals, listening to podcasts, lifting and chilling with the little friends I have left that still live in this town. I don't even start spring semester until January 17...

No gym. Eating good food, not enough protein, probably 50% of what I need. Probably eating less calories overall, which is good. Need to lose weight.

Reached deadlift PR before I left so not to worried. Noticed I may have been overtraining since a lot of neck, lower back, and rear delt pain has dampened a lot.

Not gonna beat myself up over it, I'll be fine when I get back. But not having your usual gym to go to and a car to use really shits on a good routine.

Snowboarding season is now open across most mountains.
I snowboard but it's been 8 months since I last shredded and I don't wanna be exhausted on the mountain.
I figure explosive leg power, but also endurance, are a must to clear those big jumps.

What do you do in the gym to prepare for snowboarding (or skiing if you're into it)?

the most i do to "prepare" is find a nice patch of ice and fall on it repeatedly to warm up my patella and ishium.
