Why does everytime i do my beginner SS i end up with a injury?
Once i get back into the gym, i reduce my weight back to just the bar and go through building the weight on the bar back up again, just for it to leave me in a injury.

I'm not even lifting anything heavy, my squat gets to 40 kg, bench 30kg, Row 32.5kg, OHP 25kg and deadlift 55kg.

It literally feels like im wasting my time, but i keep doing it in hopes of making it. Can anyone please tell me what im doing wrong?

Maybe it's my form, maybe it's my diet. If that's the case could anyone tell me how to actually improve it?

I want to drop £180 (after discount) on these, do any of you use them?

If so does the neck thing get in the way of the squat bar across your traps?

I'm not buying these exclusively for the gym but would intend on wearing them in there.

Sound better than my Soundmagic wired plugs. Personally I wouldnt spend much on bluetooth.

Hey /fit/, I'm going vegan and I'm looking for any tips/pointers/experience (is it possible to be a /fit/ vegan?)

Background: I'm 22 and a recovering alcoholic who quit drinking 5 months ago. In that time, I've lost 45 lbs just adding light exercise and eating what I want (I was drinking A LOT). I'm still chubby but getting down to my goal level of body fat. Even though I've been losing weight, my diet is still pretty shit. Lots of sodium, processed foods with empty carbs, lots of sugar and fats. For me, going vegan is a way for me to start eating a healthier diet and try to lose the rest of my beer belly. I plan on integrating some light weight training/bodyweight exercises to get muscle tone, but I'm not trying to get shredded (yet).

Most vegan groups I've checked out are filled with whiny shits, which is why I'm here for a more realistic perspective. I'm not in it for the ethical/moral reasons, I'm just trying to get more /fit/, how do I do it and not die?

(pic related, maybe: I got some free samples of vegan protein powder recently and they're not bad tasting. one serving of the powder I tried mixed in 10 oz of unsweetened soy milk is about 24 g of protein, which is....not a lot)

Sorry if this isn't the board for this, I know that the standard /fit/ diet is whole milk, chicken cutlets and oats but all the vegans I know seem unconcerned about protein which makes me think they might be malnourished

I'm lactose intolerant as well, so I've already cut most dairy out of my diet. (I can tolerate some) but the biggest change will be cutting out the meat and cutting out things that have non-vegan ingredients (which is attractive to me because I want to eat less processed food like frozen meals and fast food).

Another struggle I'm having is that I see so much conflicting information on how much protein I should be eating. Usually the numbers I see people saying in communities like /fit/ is a lot higher than the numbers you would see on a vegan board

I'm having a hard time measuring my bodyfat with calipers

When I do it the proper way, measuring between the pinching fingers & my body the skin is just sliding out of my grip and I can't get an accurate measurement because it's just sliding out of my grip the whole time. We'll call the order of this grip->calipers->body

If I measure it outside of the grip (away from the body) so it's calipers -> grip->body am I still going to get an accurate reading? Because I can manage to get a proper grip then

I don't know why I can get a decent grip one way but not the other

Get someone to help you and use a picture guide. Unless you measure all 4 areas of body, its gonna be pretty inaccurate.

What supplements are you on /fit/? I'm curious about what you take and if you have had any results. I'm starting with a multuvitamin just to keep things in check and I want to take zinc because there seems to be a lot of positive benefits. Anyone have experience with zinc?

But also just share what you take, why, and how it has helped or hurt your progress.

Im trying to quit weed but there is a major problem, I cant eat anything. Thinking about food makes me nauseus, after I eat something I just want to throw up. I actually handed the quitting part very easily, I dont even want to smoke anymore but I cant not eat anything, I feel like shit and Its only been 4 days since I last smoked.
What to do /fit/, anyone else had the same problem?
I didnt quit sips and tabacco, do you think quitting that would solve my problem?

Does anyone here work 70-80 hours a week/work in a stressful as fuck profession and lift weights?
