Anyone else notice this about really muscular guys, even the god of bodybuilding himself?

Sure there are a ton of old pictures where he looked incredible with perfect lighting and just the right camera angle and pose.

But does such a physique always look that great? Back before the age if smartphone cameras and pics that could be taken anywhere anytime there had to be days even Arnold looked bloated or just not on his A game.

Are we comparing ourselves to a standard that never really was as impressive as the pictures and snapshots of carefully planned photos of the past lead us to believe?

hey /fit/, maybe you can help with this. so I work manual labor and I've been having a weird issue with pain in my forearm for a few months.

the weird part is that the pain happens when I LET GO of a weight, not while carrying it.

the pain seems to be radiating so I can't tell exactly where it's coming from but I feel it somewhere along the middle of my forearm,

I haven't been to the gym in a while so I don't know if this will affect my deadlifts but I'm pretty sure it will.

Last year when I was remodeling the house, I had to use the jackhammer to remove old reinforced concrete walks. Bitches were about half foot thick, and ten times more resilient than asphalt. Anyway, after a week of hammering away at that shit, gripping with my right hand became painful. Couldn't do pull ups / lat pull downs, or hang on to a dumbbell heavier than 30 pounds.

Serious question. Which routine should I follow, if I just want the general masses akka normies to consider me "ripped", or "fit"? No roids. Pretty sure nSuns has some sort of spreadsheet where you input your weight and calories pre day and it slowly adjusts your tdee. Never used it myself, but apparently it gets pretty accurate.


Also, fitness frog is pretty darn accurate. Scooby's is as well. Those two should spit out similar answers.


Are you sure you're tracking calories correctly? Using an app mfp? And are you actually weighing your food or just eyeballing it?
