You can only quit if YOU want to. Every time you feel withdrawal, recognize that it's your body dying for things to return to normal and poison it with tar and nicotine. Don't be your body's bitch, change is always a struggle but you will do it.
Really though withdrawal effects are present for a month max. Just get through a month and you're home free. Quitting is actually not hard.

I'm 18 and 128 pounds. I don't plan on being an athlete or bodybuilder, just a white collar office worker. My friend showed me that anabolic steroids are safe and very beneficial if I take small, responsible doses. When I'm 28 or older I'm planning on taking 250mg/week for 10 weeks. I just want to be stronger in general and since there are no downsides to responsible use I don't see any reason not to.

For about a month now I've been waking up in the middle of the night or very early morning unable to go back to sleep.
I have no problems falling asleep as I'm pretty much exhausted throughout the entire day at this point, but without fail my body starts waking up after only 3 or 4 hours of sleep.
I've tried melatonin, which puts me back to sleep after about an hour of lying awake, but it only nets me a few extra hours and I don't want to become dependent on it.
I'm sleep deprived to the point where I can barely think, and my workouts are miserable. Will seeing a doctor help at all? I don't want to become dependent on any sort of medication.

I eat at 18 times my weight in pounds as calories, with extra on cardio days depending how far I run.

I normally only take caffeine in morning pre-workout, but I've taken quite a bit more today just so that I can function.
Alternate strength training and cardio, usually about 1 or 2 true rest days per week.
I sleep with earplugs and fan on alone in a dark room. I have no problems passing out at 10pm, and there's nothing that should be waking me up.
I'm forced to do 2 night shifts every 8 days, which results in temporary sleep deprivation, but I've always been able to recover from it and reset my schedule after a few days of quality sleep.
