Let me explain that english isn't my native language, and over here we use the same word to describe all 100 products related to the english word "oat". Wikipedia has an entry on "oats", then a separate one on "oatmeal". Ok, maybe oatmeal is the same BUT WAIT, not fatsecret.com has one entry on "oats" with set nutritional content, and "oatmeal" with a totally different one, which leads me to believe oats and oatmeals are two different things.

Do pure gyms have a lot of barbells and weights? Will I have to do a lot of waiting around before I can use the equipment? Looking to do ICF 5x5 but I also have a home gym, not sure whether or not it's worth me spending money each month on a pointless gym membership when I can't get on any benches/squat racks. Previous gym I went to which is run by my borough is awful, I don't want to pay for the same experience
The 2 I go to tend to have a pretty good ratio of barbells to people so probably 90% of the time you'll get a barbell/squat rack/bench straight away but don't go at peak time or you'll struggle. As for dumbells you'll nearly always get the pair you want but only goes to 50kg if that's a problem for you.
Try it for a month and if its shit then go back to your home gym

I go to the SW18 gym and in about 1 out of 3 visits I had to wait for a squat rack. Never had to wait for dumbbells. Then again I work out 6-8AM on work days and about 9-12AM on weekends. Been in the evening once and it was pretty crowded.

Today while doing deadlift I think I strained my groin. It slightly hurts and I feel pressure when I walk or move around. Am I dying? What are some lifts I can substitute?

I've injured my kneecap when heavy squatting, it was painful as fuck. Now I can't squat, deadift and do cardio, it fucking sucks

Does anyone else exclusively use the heavy bag for work outs? I have a 100lb. bag and use 16oz gloves supposed to use 12oz because welterweight but whatever. And have a round timer app I use on my phone, 3min on 1min off.

Hi /fit regular lurker here, a few months back I saw a military fitness thread. Now that it maybe semi pertinent to my life (looking at joining freedom lands Air Force reserves) I was wondering what sort of training I need to undertake to ensure I excel. I'm in good shape by normie standards. Relatively "strong" upper body i.e. OHP 145 and Bench 235, and I can diddly 3 plate along with about 15 pull-ups. My squat however is proportionately weak, I struggle with a 2.5 plate squat. Mile run time is at about 6.5 minutes.
Where do I start or what modifications need to be made to prepare. Any help is appreciated.

Air Force training is some of the hardest in the world. Attrition rates are extremely high.
If you can deal with being tired and avoid bursting into laughter at stupid bullshit, you'll be fine. Specialized training before basic is overkill unless you're trying to be a high speed secret squirrel or you're a recovering turbofatty. All kinds of sorry sacks of shit show up to basic woefully unprepared and get through.
If you're really worried, just google it, I'm sure Stew Smith or whoever has some program designed to have you score 11 million points on pt tests.
