I'm trying to make my own protein pancake mix to match the MyProtein stuff but the ingredients are misleading:

>Unflavoured: Protein Blend (35%) (Whey Protein Concentrate (Milk), Milk Protein Concentrate, Egg White Powder), Ground Oats (12%), Medium Chain Triglycerides (MCTs) (68-75%), Sodium Caseinate (Milk), Glucose Syrup Solids, Emulsifier (E472c), Raising Agent (Sodium Bicarbonate), Sweetener (Sucralose), Emulsifier (Soy Lecithin).

If the ingredients are listed by quantity and it's 35% Protein Powder and 12% Oats, that means Medium Chain Triglycerides, Sodium Caseinate, Glucose Syrup Solids, E472c, Sodium Bicarbonate, Sucralose & Soy Lecithin make up the other 53% which just doesn't seem to make sense. And why would they add around 10% MCTs in a protein product?

What's going on?

Weigh 180lb so Iv hit my protein target for the day but I'm still 650 cal short for my calorie target. (Bulking)

About to go to the gym, when I get back could I just eat some serious carb heavy food like breads and cereals to get my cals up or should I keep my rations close to what they are at the moment and just eat more protein cos it makes no difference?
