In terms of lifting he is one of the few guys on YouTube who know what they are doing and actually gives decent advice. However, his whole "alpha male" persona is retarded, he is dogmatic in his beliefs and for every good piece of advice he gives out 3 retarded ones.
Overall - he is a lot better than the rest but that's not saying much. He also likes Westside which is always a plus in my book.

Not saying im /fit/ yet but apparently im making good progress. Im 6'3, first picture is october 20th (79kg) and the other one is december 26th (87kg), so its a bit more than 2 months of work. Everyone at home tells me im getting big so i guess its sort of true, but i reached the point where i stopped noticing progress because i look myself in the mirror a lot and i keep thinking that im still skinny and shitty looking as i was before. Neglect my shitty busted phone please.

that's impossible considering natty muscle weekly gain is around 0.2 kg and even that will come with the same amount of fat.
in either scenario, gaining 8 kg of muscle mass is 2 months is not possible.
in the case of a slow controlled bulk, gaining that much muscle mass is impossible and in the case of aiming for that 1 lbs/week gain, the muscle:fat would be close to 1:1. but a month is roughly 4 weeks so that would be a measly 4 lbs and only 2 lbs would be muscle. hardly noticeable.
pretty sure most of that weight is water + poo. he does look bigger but it's largely due to shaving his chest and probably having more water in his muscles due to lifting.

Should I just give in and go back to bro-splitting like when i first started lifting all those years ago?
I kinda miss just blasting 1 muscle group for 30-40 minutes and then leaving the gym pumped as fuck. I made most of my gains doing that, so I'm not sure why I stopped doing it, I must have got caught up in all the science meme'ing on here.
Chest - Monday
Back - Tuesday
Shoulders - Wednesday
Arms - Thursday
Legs - Friday
Calves/Abs - Saturday
^Literally the best gains I had ever made was doing that. Lots of sets squeezed into 30-40minutes.

Oh and because I only lifted for 30-40 min on the bro-split, I always did 20-30 minutes of cardio after lifting.
Since I switched to more science-based routines that take 2+ hours to complete, I stopped doing cardio all together.
I wonder if that's a contributing factor as to why I'm struggling to stay as lean as I once did back in the bro-split days.

Brosplits allow for a lot more work to be done in a very short amount of time because you are always fresh and never beaten up too much. For getting jacked and lean they are the bomb.

I do cooldicadas ppl and one training session takes max 1h. Only swapped leg press to romanian deadlift tho.
So after going really on OHP my shoulder started to feel funny, no worries work thru the pain
work thru the pain and cant even do pulldowns with out massive pain from my shoulder spreading down my arm.
give it a rest at the gym for two months, start taking some Turmeric Curcumin, feels decent, not 100% but still pain in the shoulder and now its starting to feel numb at times, like when you sit on your foot for a long time, kinda radiating down my arm.
what can i do to rehab with out going to see dr or get surgery. how fucked am I.

How do you deal with gains goblin relatives? My fucking family loathes having seen all the progress I've made with the gym over the last 2 years and keeps buying me junk food and cutting is mental torture. RIGHT NOW as I type this there is 2000 calories worth of soft, chocolatey and smooth cookies downstairs bought specifically for me. Going to the gym 5 times a week and exerting all my energy pales in comparison to just not putting trashy food in my mouth. How the fuck am I supposed to be at rest when I know there's free DELICIOUS food 15 seconds away all the time?
My cut is going good, 2 months left and I should be done, but I don't know how long discipline will last
