First time posting, so sorry for being a giant faggot. I've read the sticky which has helped tremendously, but would like further advice from those willing to give it.

I desperately need to get into shape and stop being a fat faggot. I'm 6'2" and, last time I weighed myself, I was 260lbs. I've most certainly exceeded this. I have a large, wide-shouldered, and fairly athletic looking build. It isn't apparent that I weight this much to most folks, but my body fat percentage is high.

I'm ordering a pull up bar tonight as well as a scale, and I'm starting this shit right fucking now. I can't wait any longer. I've been trying to get on it for the past few weeks especially, but now is the time.

My problem is that I can't control what I eat. I work about 50 to 55 hours a week, and I'm about an hours drive from home. I usually do 10 or 12 hour shifts, so I'll be eating more than once out. How the fuck do I even eat correctly? I haven't tried meal prep yet, but I don't have time other than Sunday to make food in that amount, and I know it will go bad after three days or so. I also would have to make more than 1 meal per day. That seems like a tremendous amount of food to make in one day. I am constantly out for fast food because it's quick, sometimes cheap, and I can get back to work.

Moreso onto the main point; what did YOU do to keep your shit in check during every waking second of the day? I just don't know what to do.

>tldr; how do I plan every single meal of the day while working 55 hours a week

Ey yo, OP, I work about 60 hours a week, sometimes more, you can ALWAYS find time to cook my man.

Don't have a lot of time to cook? Neither do I. Eat something that's easy to prepare in the morning, such at oatmeal and some fruit on the side, such as a banana, mango (Do not eat alongside the banana, both bananas and mangos are a bit calorie dense), 2 roma tomatos (Cheap as fuck, filling as fuck, can be eaten alongside the banana or a mango, add salt sparingly don't overload it) and other fruits are available just look for ones that are nutrient dense.

Another idea for breakfast would be a glass of milk, a banana, and 3 Jumbo eggs scrambled with some chopped red bell peppers, a little bit of onion/shallot.
And if you want some meat with it you can have a can of low sodium fish, such as tuna, sardines, etc. on the side
They do sell low sodium or no sodium added varieties at certain stores, so look around mate. Easy fucking shit. And be sure to prepare the stuff you'll scramble the eggs with first, as egg cooks insanely fast and burnt egg is disgusting.

For lunch, you can take fruit and some sauteed vegetables, and chicken (Will be getting to that shortly), be sure to use something such as olive oil to cook with, drop fucking butter and margarine like the plague.
You can prepare some vegetables beforehand at night or cook them at night, and all in all it would take a maximum of 10-15 minutes depending on how slow you are, that includes cleaning.
Frozen veggies are my main choice, they're cheap and filling, and just about as nutrient dense as fresh vegetables and since they're in the freezer you can stock up on multiple bags.

Me:
>Start of 2016 130 lb manlet.
>Decide to start going to the gym and put on some weight.
>Actually goes really well for the first half of the year. Don't put on a ton of weight, but I see meaningful progress strength-wise.
>Summer ends, go back to college in August.
>Get slammed by an H. pylori infection, which leads to a severe case of gastritis. Can't eat half of what I used to eat, and can't cook my own food because I'm in a dorm.
>At the same time get hit by my first Crohn's flare, which leads to diagnosis.
>Hardly eat anything for 4 months, as my stomach and intestines feel like a fucking warzone, lose 20 lbs.
>Lose all strength gains.
>Lose all confidence.
>Lose all motivation.

I'm finally now starting to get it under control. I'll be on Humira soon, and hopefully that'll help put it into remission, but I fell so far. Got any advice/motivation /fit/?

Looking for genuine advice right now. I'm looking to bulk up from 175 lbs right now to about 190 by the beginning of the summer. Will be playing college football (Don't worry mods, 19 here) next year and I'll be working out with the team starting in May. I don't want to look like a little bitch going in there, and I need mass on me regardless. The thing is, I don't want to gain so much fat that it takes a hit at my speed which is what I'll need to play OLB.

Any tips on how I can go about this? Nutrition, workouts, etc?

Lots of incline dumbell press, flies, and flat bench will get you that chest. As for explosiveness, power cleans, squats, deads

Hey /fit/,

Does lifting help deal with crippling loneliness and depression? Has it improved your life in general? Someone told me you guys know what I need to do in order to be happy. Is that true?

Me:
>24 years old
>Classically handsome white American
>Stay active (hiking with my dog and such), but don't usually lift
>Haven't had a "friend" in 6-7 years
>Haven't had a meaningful conversation outside of work or family in 3-4 years
>Work as a freelance branding consultant, $95K-$100K a year.
>Own my own home.
>Girlfriend of 4 years that I haven't fucked in over a year because she cheated on me awhile back and even though I fucked her sister for awhile to make myself feel better about it I'm disgusted by her presence sexually (inb4 just dump her, I can't, the family likes her and I need to stay in favor)

I have looks and money, but life still seems like a shit sandwich. Will lifting help me socially and enlighten me?

Oh and uh since it seems like such a big deal on here I should clarify my height is 6'1"-6'2"
>>
>>39891162

It wont fix anything you want it to. You have GF and monies.

You need a social hobby. Like a hobby that forces you to be around others and them you.
I think my sister does like beer league kickball and softball. I do other shit but I'm just sayin thats how adults meet i guess.
>>
You sound like a whiny bitch. Get over yourself. Your situation doesn't sound too bad.

From what you've disclosed, you are a successful young man with a lot of potential.

The real question here is: why are you failing at relationships? There's a lot you aren't sharing with us here.

tldr: lifting does not cure your shitty personality, but it sure does make you look good

American.
The only difference between bulking and eating normally is the part where you exercise.

What I don't understand is how he fuck you go through life constantly hungry when cutting.

>I'm starting gomad but don't really want to buy 7 gallons when I go once a week to the store.

Why not?
>>
>>39890991
Don't start gomad, there's a limit to how fast you can gain muscle, it's much lower than the speed you can gain fat. If you drink a gallon of milk a day and eat food in top of that you're gonna gain a shit load of fat. Gomad is for people who have been lifting awhile and need a massive amount calories.

I just had a banana and a pre-made salad from walmart. Not the best, but I hit my nutritional goals for the day so it's alright. I just started getting back to the gym a few months ago after a long depression-hiatus, so it feels amazing to be getting back down to my normal weight!
