Have you ever felt self-conscious while lifting, /fit/?

6'4" 180lb lanklet here
I started lifting regularly about a year ago and while I have made progress with strength and size, I'm still not very strong or big.
Start college and go to uni gym and it's constantly full of huge gymbros and cardio bunnies.
I know most people say they don't pay attention to anyone else while working out but I can't help but feel pathetic while benching 100lbs next to someone benching 2pl8
I've never even done deadlifts at the gym since the area is very exposed and I fear being judged for form or strength. There's also only 1 designated deadlifting area so I don't want to be that guy doing 200lbs and stopping everyone else from doing 3-4pl8

I'll still continue doing my workouts and push through the perceived embarrassment but what can I do to feel more welcome/worthy to lift?

ive been trying to lose weight for like two weeks now and this shit aint working. ive dropped soda and started eating smaller portions of shit within my tdee to slim down but it aint working.
im fucking retarded clearly.
can someone just lay out the most basic fucking diet of shit for me to eat every day to lose fat? I'm too stupid to do it myself. I'll eat the same thing literally every day I'm not a picky eater, although I'd prefer something without chicken.

If you want to lose fat, quit taking in fat. Obviously you have to burn more calories than you take in, and exercise helps- but don't starve yourself. Eating too LITTLE is also detrimental to fat loss. Eat fewer simple sugars. Cutting out pop is a good start, but try eating less baked goods, less chips and chocolate. Try putting more fish in your diet- tuna is tasty, reasonably cheap and low-calorie and can be made into sandwiches and salads, and there's a gorillion ways to prepare other tasty fish like salmon. It'll ramp up your protein intake while dropping fat intake, in addition to providing you with necessary fatty acids. Remember to lift your weights, too. There's no one particular diet. Just make sure you read the nutrition labels and watch that you're not taking in a lot of fat and simple sugars. If there is fat- and you do need to eat some- make sure it's unsaturated. Make sure the ingredients are all things that you can pronounce on the first try and understand without muttering anything about derivation from Latin. The guide gave me a good rule of thumb- if you couldn't make it at home, don't eat it. In fact, make your own food as much as you can. That way, you know what's in it every step of the way. It's healthier, provides peace of mind, and is a skill you need to function in life regardless. Lastly, keep in mind that getting fit is a lot like learning to play an instrument. Getting the basics and a reasonable level of proficiency is easy. But as you get better and better, each improvement becomes smaller and more difficult to achieve. I am 5'8" and 225lbs, at the start of my journey to physical wellness, where you are much closer to a good weight from the sounds of it. I will lose fat far faster than you because my fat, given there's a lot of it, is more expendable than yours. Try upping the intensity of your workouts, but remember not to hurt yourself, okay?

Hey /fit/

I need Snatch advice and there is no /owg/ ;(

I'm in week 2 of learning the snatch with low weight.
When I catch the snatch, I'm above parallel - I'm still moving down into the bottom position smoothly (it doesn't look like a power snatch + OH squat).
I've started incorporating Tall Snatches to help with third pull but I'm wondering of this is bad practice, or if it will correct itself when the weight gets heavier?

I'm 21 and I seem to have literally zero energy or confidence whatsoever. I always feel a mixture between being too tired to give a fuck and feeling that I am a fuck up anyways so why bother. I am unsure if the two are related but it sure feels that way.

I tend to have a pretty sketchy sleeping pattern since I work nights, however I might be moving to a new job. Sometimes on days off I will literally get up around 7AM spend the whole day doing nothing and be exhausted by about 3PM and go to bed for the night. Also most of what I eat consists of meat, brown bread, potatoes, and quite alot of sugary foods, I never eat fruit or veg. I'm not overweight, I am about 10 stone and FT 5:8. I rarely ever get any exercise and just stay inside all the time. I notice it gets particularly bad when I take a drink with friends, for example they can go all night whereas I might only stay out for 3 hours have such low energy I barely talk and then go home and straight to bed.

I don't know what to I feel pretty depressed about feeling tired all the time and it is really starting to effect my confidence and social life.

What should I do ?
