whats fits stance on Omar Isuf?
apart from the usual youtube natty claims, he seems to give solid advice
>in b4 go away omar

Workout advice is good, diet advice is a little too cautious and he has a shitty entitled personality
he's a retarded transgender

how long do you have to lift to actually see the results in a mirror as a natty?
about a week
saged for no roids
>>39894252
1 month until i noticed a real difference now 4 months in i feel like a new man
First month or two you'll be searching for differences and not finding any.
A few months in you'll've stopped looking for signs of progress, but people will notice and compliment you.
At this point you do realize the progress you've made, and now you often look in the mirror thinking about what you have left to improve.
I'm at 1.4 years of progress since I've began exercising, 1 year since my first lift.
So is Jason Blaha legit? Is his 5x5 program any good?
isn't his routine just a modified SL 5x5?
>NOVICE progam that wants you to spend 2 hours at the gym every other day
>>39894243
Yeah, a shittier one for anyone who isn't a NEET
>>39894243
Modified so that you become so sick of exercise that go cherub mode like him
Hey guys, if you had to build a small gym (for like 20 people), how would it be?
>>39894182
The dilemma is this: do you stick to your principles and what you know is right, or do you want to make the optimal amount of money?
If I could choose myself, I would fill it up with mostly squat racks, free weights and platforms. However, since there are vastly more normies in the world, it would probably make more sense financially to invest in the ultimate normie machine, pic related; The venus fly trap of normies
small
>>39894211
great points.
free weights are way better for the use of space, but it's true that normies would probably dislike that.
Do you think there is a way to balance this two things?
Rate my noob gains progress since mid november /fit/. Will post DL and OHP in the thread
Ohp
Deadlift. Last session I was hungover from NYE and didn't try to increase
Harder to post bench and row because I have switched to db row from cable and lately I am doing db press because my spotter left for a month
what units is this in? if kg then pretty impressive man, if lbs then still quite good imo. regardless that linear progression is nice
>"instructor" at my gym
>gives everyone the same ridiculous fucking routine
>6x15 of every exercise, over 10 exercises per day
>criticizes anyone with their own routine/doing different exercises
>6 months later, I've gained 7kg more and stronger than ever
>everyone who listened to him looks the exact same
How are these people allowed to work? Seriously, every gym I went to, these "instructors" are obsessed with comically large amounts of volume.
>>39894108
if personal trainers actually made people progress, they would lose money and go bankrupt from people either learning enough for themselves or for lazy fatshits leaving cause they can't do a proper routine.
The only time a personal trainer can make money is by being a "guru" for top end bodybuilders/athletes/movie stars like george farah and charge people 5000$ for a 1 month nutrition plan and like 50$ for an email question.
>>39894108
If courses where you live are the same as here, it's almost dogmatic what they want you to make beginners do. We were told to make beginners do 3x10 of bench, row, pulldown, OHP and squat. No discussion of other rep/set ranges, and if I suggested something like SL5x5, I was told I couldn't do that.
And yes, beginners respond better to higher rep ranges from what I've read, but that doesn't mean it should be the only course of action when programming.
>>39894123
You're thinking about this the wrong way. Personal trainers live on word of mouth, so if their customers made no progress, they wouldn't get recommended to anyone, and then they'd lose their job.
A more simple explanation than PTs being saboteurs, is that most of them don't know what they're doing.
Biceps are stalled. For the last three months, I have tried everything to get them to grow, but they stalled out after only a year of lifting. I tried raising frequency and lowering volume. I tried raising volume and lowering frequency. I tried deloading and reloading. I tried more weight/less reps. I tried more reps/less weight. At some point or another I have done hammer curls, reverse curls, barbell curls, whatever side curls Bradley Martyn suggested in a video, and chinups (and removed chinups since). I have been lifting over a year now, back improving, legs, chest, shoulders, triceps, traps, fucking everything is like "let's fucking grow bro" and my biceps are like "nah it's cool".
Someone please help me.
>>39894105
Post pic or at least height and weight. Maybe you need to let the rest of you catch up first. I was in the same boat and started concentrating on back and shoulders for a few months and my biceps started growing again. I think my lagging shoulders were keeping me from really hitting them there ceps
barbell curls 10 x F
dumbbell curls 10 x F
machine curls 10 x F
kettlebell curls 10 x F
bodyweight curls 10 x F
try this routine and see if it works

5'8 155lbs. Started last year at 125lbs skeletor mode. Was seriously one of the smallest people I knew at the time. Didn't do SS and followed a 3 day and now 4 day split.

I like this. I really do.
Hey /fit/, so its my New Years Resolution to beefen up my arm strength this year. My sister got me this Gear Fit2 and I thought Id never use it but I guess nows a better time than never since Im applying for the police academy in Phoenix soon. Im already a lifeguard, have been for 2 and a half years now, but I still feel like my arms are skinny and would like to improve that for sake of fitness and self confidence.
Any good workout tips? What should I be taking in to get that universal weight instead of becoming a skinnyfat faggot?

Time to stop being a skelly faggot malnourished skinny loser.
I am so fucking hyped. Time to start loading the big C right the fuck now.
(Yes the whey is only 0.5kg, I got it as a test, if it tastes and works fine I will buy the 4kg packet, even though I will have to sell my liver to do it, holy shit it's so expensive)
Any fellow NYRs here who will be totally making it this year for realz?
>>39893880
You don't really need protein powder to gain weight, it's more useful for when you want to lose it.
Real food works fine, and it has more varied and nutritious qualities as well.
>>39893880
>depending on supplements
once a dyel skelly always a dyel skelly.
>500grams
lmfao 18 scoops, grats on your one week supply.
>>39893880
See you next year
really makes you think
But it does matter.
Don't do curls. Do barbell exercises.
Don't squat without weight, at least have the bar on your bar for technique.
Don't jog, do HIIT unless you want to destroy your knees
Of course it doesn't matter, all of those numbers suck

I've been trying to get in shape for almost 2 weeks now and my piss started to get more yellowish and spicy since then. Is this normal?
Yeah bro totally normal. Just be yourself
Probably should drink more water if it is yellow. I can't helt with the spicyness, though.

Martial Arts - Which one do you anons prefer? When did you start, do you have some official accomplishments or funny stories?
how am I going to injure myself if I get back into judo for off seasons boys?
Did aikido when i was 14, cool martial art but it's very coreographic and will hardly save your ass unless you are brown belt or more.
Started when I was 8 with judo and did that for a couple years.
Throughout the years I've done Wing Chun, pencil silat poekulan (or something like that), boxing, kickboxing, Jun fan jeetje kune do. I did these things for at least half a year each, some for much longer.
Besides these things I tried out some stuff like capoeira, but those things were just for a couple weeks.
I've been training MMA for the last 2 years, combined with Thai boxing and Brazilian Jiu jutsu.
In my opinion eastern styles are mostly mumbo jumbo, but not completely useless. If you want to know how to fight, pick up something like boxing.
