who do you lift for?

you are shy and easily fall in love. you always walk around with your head down afraid of making eye contact in fear of people judging you.
when you see a couple you always wonder what the girl sees in him and why can't that be you.

someday you lock eyes with a cute girl and she smiles at you. you instantly fall in love with her and you can't stop thinking about her.
you imagine talking to her, holding her hand and being intimate with her, maybe even having a family with her some day.
you desperately try to muster up the courage to approach her as days pass.
during that time she has the same thoughts about you, hoping you are going to make the first move because she has the same insecurities as you do.
but that day never comes.

one day you see her glowing with happiness holding hands with another guy and you get sad and jealous.
regret starts to eat away at you because you didn't have the courage to open your mouth and mutter a few words.
that night when you lay in your bed you start to think about her again.
you continue to replay the days in your mind over and over again asking yourself what would happen if only you had just talked to her.

you pick up hobbies to distract your mind. you fall for the gym meme, thinking it will solve the problem that you have.
as years pass you get stronger but the fear of rejection and judgement is still there, preventing you from doing what instincts are telling you should do.
no matter how much you lift, you cannot get rid of that feeling or keep the book closed.
you think that if a girl would approach you first things would be different, but you know deep down that they wouldn't.
you cannot explain the fear of the word that you hear multiple times a day.

more years pass and you get older, writing more of such chapters in your book.
before you realize it you are laying on your death bed of old age, no family to hold your hand, never knowing how beautiful love can truly be,
all because of your fear of being rejected. the only thing that you have is regret but now it's too late to change anything.

as your heart emits its final beat of its long journey, you realize that being rejected is better than carrying life long regret.

This past week I got an allergy attack (suffer from seasonal allergies), now I'm lying in bed wanting to die. Literally hurts to swallow anything and both ears are killing me. Ibuprofen isn't really helping, nose is stuffy but don't wanna keep using Afrin, saline spray is meh, I'm dying over here. Loaded up on emergen-c as well. Also on clariten and flonase.

Hi /k/

Without making this a blog post, basically I'm moving to another state, Wisconsin, and they have much more favorable gun laws for hunting. I'm new to actually handling guns (never shot one before) but I want to get a hunting rifle because I'd like to go hunting when I'm up there, any recommendations?

Basically I want to avoid looking like a fucktard when using the gun and don't want to buy something that people would scoff at

So may be a dumb question. Can a guy weighing 220 just looks up the tdee for someone at 170 and just eat at that maintenance until he gets there? Obviously he's have to go to 500 below maintenance to keep losing fat as he got closer to the goal weight, but initially wouldn't that work better than just a 500 deficit?

The problem here is that you have a body to run, and cutting that much fuel out will leave you with exhaustion and/or malnutrition. I personally find that when I eat at a ridiculous deficit instead of the -500 recommendation I'm way more likely to cave to my impulses for junk food and blow my diet, specially as time goes on.

So basically if you can deal with no energy and have the mental willpower to resist urges, then yes, but I wouldn't recommend it

January 4th 2016 is the first day I started trying to lose weight. 185lbs lost so far. Am currently at 20% bodyfat according to my scale.

Was crazy easy, anyone fat has no excuse to not lose weight.

I give all credit for motivation to /pol/, Trump, and fat hate fridays.

Six feet tall exactly. I started out going into ketosis, as it naturally lowers your appetite. I was at 4.3k calories a day to maintain my weight, so when I cut down to 2k or less a day, along with exercise, my first few months were crazy fast, lost 90lbs in 3-4 months.

I got into a routine with eating. 2-4 strips bacon depending on thickness, 2 eggs for breakfast. 250g of broccoli tossed with some minced garlic and ginger root, along with some sort of meat/fish for lunch. Larger portion of meat/fish for dinner. Kept that up for 9 months.

Still in ketosis currently, but I branched out. I currently super in love with spinach salads. 5cups spinach with 2tbsp of light italian dressing, 2tsp of grated parm, and a tin of sardines for example.

For exercise, I started out hiking in the trails in the mountains near my house. First couple of weeks I could only do the 2.2mile loops. Then after a month could do the 4.2mile loop. Did that for a few months, then started doing the 8 mile loop. In april of 2016 I joined the YMCA, and started lifting as opposed to cardio every other day. Fast forward to September, I learned I can run now. Stopped hiking, as that was taking like 2 hours a day, and started jogging.

First day I ran I could not run for a full mile. Literally the second day I went running I was able to run a mile. Third day I could go 2 miles. Fourth I could go 3. Stayed at 3 though I could do more(max I did was 6, could have prolly gone more), as I wanted to work on my speed. I stayed doing 3 miles, and after about 2 months, I started running to the gym instead of driving, so was running every day now. On cadio days, which is when I time my runs, I got down to 8min first mile, and am still working on getting 8mins accross all 3 miles.
