Before everything, I read the sticky.

/fit/ I really need some help from you. So in this summer I am going to America on vacation and I don't want to look like this anymore. I don't need to be Coleman or anything, just to have a bit of shape when wearing clothes. But I also don't want to get fat. The problem is I have very little time (4 months). Btw I am posting this now because I saw some huge guys here in cbt and don't want to be made fun of too much.

Is there a chance for me?

When you say 3pl1 it doesnt count because you said 'plates'. When you say 235lb or 235kg it does count becsuse the bar is still in it. When you just lift the plates like some lifts require you can also say 2pl1 vor 3pl2 etc and it doesnt count the bar. So it really depends on how your lifts look

Sounds like so much horseshit broscience idiocy, but I will say this--lateral raises are generally dangerous because the supraspinatus initiates the first 15° of abduction and too heavy a weight can fuck your rotator cuff. (The supraspinatus is usually the muscle affected in a rotator cuff tear.)

So, while the reason the video gives to do this exercise is asinine, this exercise might be beneficial to reduce the 15° workload of the supraspinatus during a lateral raise.

So what exercise is a decent replacement for lateral raises then? Shoulders are one of my weakest muscle groups and I REALLY desire good definition from them.
