2 weeks ago I watched a Drill Instructor tearing into a land whale and he made some convincing points. Convincing enough that I shut my computer, downloaded a 7 minute workout app, and have been doing the session twice a day since. Thanks /fit/, you guys have had some really good advice thus far. Already seeing an improvement, the first time I went through I was soaked with sweat, now I'm thinking of investing in a barbell and some weights.

Work on your diet and improve it in small amounts with one improvement a week.

Take your time with the workouts. You will get to a point where your workout now will be a warm up routine for your future workouts.

Good luck. Can you tell us how much you weigh, age, and height? Have you ever exercised before?

You will never lose the weight because you refuse to stop eating a caloric surplus of awful food.

You standing and moving around for 8 hours is probably burning maybe 500 - 600 calories a day more than your standard sedentary lazy ass days. You are eating at least 4000-5000 calories a day easily, so the little "exercise" you are doing mean nothing.

First time on this board, but I hope you guys can help me out. I'm looking for a good diet breakdown for lifting. I have some fat on me that I could stand to lose but I would also like to build some muscle. Any help/advice would be appreciated!

Substitute half of your regular calories for meat, primarirly white meat or even fish.
ie chicken and tuna, with sausages, steak, beef less often.
Vegetables are important, your body needs them micros to build itself, I recommend gespatzo as an easy way to get them all at once in a big bowl once a day.
After that remember protein shakes are a supplement, 1g per 1pld of body weight of protein is what you need. Shakes can make it easier to hit that nothing more nothing less.
lastly
Push, Pull, Legs.
(I don't do legs kek)
Even so you need to mix compound pushing exercises ie chest press, machine press, with pulls ie t-bar rows, lat pull down machine.
Personally i'd say do compounds (i'm a machine fag but it works) then do isolations to hit smaller muscles - read: ARMS - biceps, triceps, forearms.

I've been lifting for 3-4 years now with solid programming and good nutrition (this is the kind of thing I study at university) and am still not quite at 1/2/3/4.
Judging by the rate of my progression, I honestly think I'll hit 1/2/3/4 in like 3 years and it'll be around my natty limit.

I don't eat till mid-morning often so I'm thinking of having a protein shake for breakfast (2 scoops).
I eat a big lunch usually and chicken/red meat with gespatzo or some french bread for dinner. Wondering if this is a good way to go for someone who hates breakfast.

Hi /fit/

I have only exercised in high school and haven't in quite a long time besides freeweights and the occasional set up push-ups/situps.

After changing my diet in my teens I managed to shave off about 70 lbs, but I have concerns about what my body would look like if I went all the way and started really trying to get fit and improve my physical appearance.

You see, I have stretch marks on my thighs and my stomach. They aren't as pronounced as when I was really obese, but I'm worried they won't go away. I have similar concerns about skin flab. I know skin is very elastic but will I look like a weird fleshsack even if there's muscle underneath since I was once so obese?

Pic isn't me but shows what I'm talking about. Mine aren't this bad.
