How fat do you have to be for running to cause damage to your joints?

If I run for 30 minutes a day every day, and I am 6ft 84.5kg (187lbs).
6 posts and 1 images submitted.
>>
just make sure to get plenty of recovery after each run. Run about 4 days a week. Do two distance runs and two workouts (tempo run, surges, hills) twice a week.

Do not over do it and make sure you have proper shoes. Go to a local running store and get some good shoes designed for your feet.

Finally, do not run on a tread mill. Tread mills put more stress on your joints and it will also lead to your hamstrings being neglected.

I ran cross country for four years and have experienced a fair share of running injuries. Take this advice seriously, ESPECIALLY the running shoes. I got a bad case of tendinitis running in bad shoes that were too big and were not designed for my feet.

Just google "running long term knee effects." First couple results agree with >>40021672

Try and stay off of roads and run trails if you can. It's easier on the joints. Besides, trails are about 1000x more enjoyable than running on roads, especially with cars blowing exhaust in your face.

I feel like it may be a long shot that the same anon will see this, but a few weeks ago I asked /fit/ if there was a way I could loose twenty pounds by mid march so I could go parachuting with my bro. One anon posted a reply in pic related and I felt it was my best shot. Could the anon or any other anons who know this diet tell me how the food listed in the pic should be prepared?

3 eggs, but how should they be cooked? scrambled, over easy? with oil or butter? and so on.

plain yogurt or can berried be added?

Baked chicken with cup of rice, should it be a breast or thigh? big or small piece? one or two? should the rice be brown or will white be ok? any specific or special way the chicken should be cooked?

Thanks

Just eat 500 cal under your TDEE, check TDEE every two weeks or so and repeat. You'll lose weight healthily instead of going 1000cal a day mode that this is suggesting.
>>
>>40021126
So there is some wiggle room then?
I like the concept of the exercise bike every day and simple meal plan, portion sizes were seeming pretty small.

my TDEE was 3100 from a website's calculation with a sedentary lifestyle. So shoot for 2600 along with exercise?

I have a family member giving me advice on how to get very fit in a relatively short amount of time (about now to september). He says I should workout five times a week, do cardio for about 1hr on the sixth day and rest on the last. I'm 18, no idea how any of this shit works, since I started working out 2 weeks ago.

My own research says that beginners should do 3 days a week fullbody, however he is telling me to focus on groups. Not sure what to believe.

Just workout daily. you're not going to "overtrain" and it helps fitness become routine
>>
Focus on compound movements and progressive overload. Train how much you want
>>
he's right assuming he also told you to hop on tren

Okay /fit/, Mr Fat Fuck here

Recently, thanks to a better job, I also got a gym membership. I want to go there before work, three times per week.

I already once started, read the sticky, had a nice A B A plan ready and everything seemed to work fine. But turns out I can't really do squats and some other entry shit with legs, ended with swelled knee. Because I'm a fat 320 lbs 6 ft idiot.

Now's my question - I'll probably start with eating steamed veggies and chicken breasts for diet and stick to some part of my previous routine, but what can I do about the leg problem? Should I drop squats and anything that was tied to my knee injury? Is there a machine I can do this on to lesser the overall harm? Obviously I want to cycle the shit out of myself at the gym, but it'd be nice to still be able to do some stuff with weights.
