This is the first time I'll be posting my body on /fit/.

Last August, I got sick of being a fucking idiot with twig arms, and having man boobs. Although it looks like I made no progress with muscles, I lost my bitch tits and at least made some progress with not having complete twigs for arms.
Why does it take the body so long to go from nothing to something, /fit/? I feel like progress is so slow when you build muscle naturally. I just do simple dumbbell and barbell curls, bench press 100 pounds (if I want to at least do 6 reps), triceps rope pulldowns, and dumbbell shoulder raises. I know I need to implement so much more if I want to make it. Should I be focusing more on reps or the weight? How do I force my body to accept more weight? Because I feel like I hardly make progress on adding more weight to my order right now.

Hi /fit/, quick question.

I have 1 dumbbell due to being an idiot and not buying 2. Planning to buy another but I was wondering if there are any good exercises for my core I could be doing with 1 dumbbell? (lower/upper body)

Tried looking around on YT and google but I don't have the equipment for most of this stuff. Just the dumbbell and my arms and legs. I was working with this:

but my legs are fine and any workout I do is going to help my arms, but that workout doesn't feel like it's doing anything with my torso and I don't know what I'm doing anymore to be honest. I did follow one YT video that made the sides of my pec-areas sore so I guess that was right? I can't tell.

I've been excercising over the course of the last 3 weeks and plan to keep it up. 6'2"ish and 220lbs. I just really want a better, skinnier core at this point cause gut+manboobs+barrel-chested is not a good look.

Also I can't do push-ups worth a goddamn shit. I can do like... maybe 2. My arm strength is so bad but I can do 15 reps of lifting a 15 lb weight. I'm pretty sure push-ups are crucial to core exercise.

Try an elevated angle of push up it's more easier or knees push up. And you can trie planks for the core or the abs roller.

You can't. Even if you move into a new house, your parent's will come over and do most of the work on it, thereby by making it their house.

The only solution is to wait until either they die, or you die. If they die first, you become homeless. If you die first, you get reincarnated and the whole thing starts over again.

Fast how? Is it okay that I have to start with much lower weights and do a more BB style workout (higher reps, not as much heavy compounds)?

Literally everything. I don't pretend it's greener pastures but I miss how she was so smart, always a year ahead of the game in emotional maturity. I was also a year ahead of her in emotional maturity simultaneously; we both brought each other to higher places.

She's also in my eyes still the best looking girl I know. Hot, beautiful, and cute all in one.

She was my intellectual equal, too. We both fascinated each other with engaging conversation for three straight years.

We were each others' rocks and helped each other through parents getting divorced and all other manner of mental-health destroyers. But that was the trouble too. We were too much of each other and it cracked after a few years long distance.

A new digital scale was placed in the weight room yesterday so I decided to weigh a thicker, darker barbell that I had used several times for benching and suspected of weighing more than 45lb. and it turned out to be 55lb. I also weighed a lighter and thinner barbell and it weighed out to 40lb.

I know its kind of trivial, and I'm not trying to complain, but I feel kind of stupid for not weighing them before.

I'm 6'16 ft and 198 lbs and i really want to get back my old shape.

1 year ago i got a job and since then i haven't been able to excercise, my schedule is:

Job 9am-5pm
College 5:40pm-10pm

I literally get home at 12 o'clock and i'm tired as fuck with bare energy left to finish my college projects. Plus the fact that spending time with my girlfriend does not allow me to practice or train even on weekends.

I'm seriously considering on doing it at 6am or 7 but i don't know if it's a good idea considering that because of college i get to bed like at 2am and partially quit smoking.

What do you guys recommend me to do?
