Who /unbalanced/ here too?

Been on the reddit PPL routine for the last couple of months and I can't seem to progress my bench at the moment. Any advice?

5 rep maxes are 57.5kg/80kg/95kg/120kg
I feel like my OHP is pretty gud in comparison to my other lifts, but I guess it's just because the others are weak.

I enjoy the program in general and feel like my progress is okay otherwise, but I am also open to suggestions of a completely new program.

I also love going to the gym almost every day so if theres a nice ~6day/wk program that gives better progress that would be nice

that is a fucking chemist meme, that somehow got adopted by nutrition.

Those fatty acids are just barely alike, have different functions in the body and you need 10000 : 1 ratio to covert enough ALA to EPA, and to meet you DHA requirements form ALA, you need to take 5 times the dose that causes explosive, flash flood diarrhea.

Skinny fat be skinny with abs

I don't plan on lifting. All my life I've been fat (just above skinny fat not obese) I just plan to do cardio to lose weight.

My question: How do I become slim/skinny with abs rather than just a skinny fat mess? Do I simply do ab exercises whilst at a caloric deficit to prevent this?

depends what sort of scoliosis you have.

a structural scoliosis means your spine shifted/curved/rotated/etc. you can't exercise your way out of the curvature if your scoliosis is structural in nature. you can exercise to mitigate muscular imbalances that are a result of the scoliosis.

a functional scoliosis is a manipulation of your skeletal structure due to muscular imbalances. you first developed the imbalance and then your skeletal structure had to compensate for it. you have far better luck correcting a functional scoliosis. you address the muscular issue and your spine should follow.

i have structural scoliosis with a pretty big curve but cosmetically i look okay. if you've researched scoliosis then you'll know that there are some really fucked up cases. truly life altering, pretty scary senpai.

lifting has helped to "mask" my scoliosis. i've had family, doctors, and friends comment that they notice my imbalances less and less since i've gotten bigger, more muscular. in conjunction with heightened awareness in regards to my posture, i look seemingly normal until i have to take a shirt off or get into certain positions.

there are still things that suck about it but, cosmetically, it is a non-issue for me. i was very self-conscious of it when i was younger but, again, the lifting has helped a lot.

I do believe I have functional scoliosis, due to bad muscular development/bad posture when I was growing.
It's nice to read you could correct it a bit at least. It wouldn't be better a surgery in your case? I've seen a lot of good results out of that kind of surgeries.

So I'm gonna try to stay away from carbs but I have a hard time time finding alternatives to what I usually have for lunch or dinner. It's always rice, pasta or potatoes 95% of the time. I thought parboiled rice was better than long grain but I guess not. Chicken is a staple of most of my meals. Any ideas guys?

Nah it's optimal, the only problem is if you can maintain it along with a busy life. I could only do it consistently when I was in my bachelor years and I had my best gains and overall energy. then it all got harder and now I only have 4 meals per day.

Hi /fit/,

I'm going to start lifting soon - but I have a problem -

Since birth I've had a short achilles tendon on my left foot, been repaired up to about 80% around a decade ago. This means I can't put my left heel on the ground (its unnoticeable walking in shoes) but it means I wouldn't be able to keep my left foot flat doing squats/deads/etc

How much of an issue is this going to be? Should I just use machines? Would appreciate your input please.
