How can I achieve this mode?
btw before anyone mentions his legs, it has nothing to do with his weight.
Hows his bum going?

I bet he can squat a million
Fatty here. I do mostly cardio for weight loss but I did abs and arms yesterday. What do I today to add to my cardio? I don't have equipment atm.
> What do I today to add to my cardio?
Go outside.
Seriously though, get up and go outside. Go for a walk around the neighborhood. Go for a walk through your local park. My park has trails through the woods, maybe yours does. Get excited to go out and experience shit.
Also buy the book Starting Strength. This is probably the best advice I could give to anyone. I went from being a weakling to squatting 285 lbs for three sets of five reps in less than 10 months, and that's missing a ton of workouts and averaging 2x a week at the gym (I missed workouts because I I work and I was a weedhead and video game addict, but I quit weed and vidya for New Years and I havent missed a single workout since, because now I have a ton of free time to lift and read while off work)

Thanks man, appreciate it.
What muscles should I work today if I'm letting arms and abs rest and have no equipment?
>>40124693
>no equipment
then you can't seriously into strength training.
not sure how big you are, but i've gained a lot of weight from lifting and eating and I now am having slight difficulty deadlifting because my belly gets in the way. maybe you could just omit strength training for now and just focus on going outside and having fun exploring places. If it's fun, it's not hard to motivate yourself to exercise. Do you have a bicycle? I don't myself but if I did, I would ride it around the neighborhood as many days of the week as I could, just because it's fun. Since I don't have a bike, I walk through the neighborhood and observe as much about everything as I can - I have a bad habit of getting stuck in my mind so forcing myself to pay attention to my surroundings as I walk around the neighborhood helps me to stay in the present time instead of staying stuck in the past or worrying and stressing about stuff.
Also, I feel like some of this is covered in the sticky
Okay, so I just invested 2 days reading the sticky.
Where do I find some clean bulk diets?
Or am I just supposed to make my own?
>took 2 days to read sticky
>learned nothing
>>40124724
Oh, but I did.
It said that all I really need is to hit my daily caloric intake while consuming enough protein (1g/1lbs.)
While also hitting the carbohydrates.
I just don't know how I would make myself a diet that meets my needs.
>>40124532
You had to spend two days to finish the sticky? Shit, you are slow...
Does /fit have any helpful advice for improving aesthetics? I feel like I've hit a dead end

>>40124534
Man, I already do a crazy amount of pull-ups :(
2 exercise sessions including 10 minutes on the elliptical, lifting a bar with 44lb weights 5 times and doing archery exercises with 8lb weights
1 piece of fruit or a vegetable in the morning.
1 can of chicken or tuna in the afternoon
1 more piece of fruit or a vegetable before bed
Drinking 1 gallon of water
That's the daily routine I've been keeping up for a week now. It's been fine and there's no desire to go back, and I'm like 300lbs.
Nice blog post you fat faggot
plz check the sticky and inform yo'self about nutritional needs before you wreck yo'self.

Fuck you I'm fine
Any tips for those who lift every day?
I am lifting for 10+ years, but recently was slacking.
So the last 14 days I just decided to fuck it and started working out EVERY DAY (no days off), training a different muscle group every day. I eat all my meals, about 5 times a day including little snacks, I sleep for about 9 hours and I take BCAAs.
Any more tips for faster recovery and 7day workout schedule?
bump eh
don't do it
>>40124893
Why not?
Gotta maximize what I can.
What is the optimal number of weights for a home gym where I'm able to micro load 1.25kg (2.5 lbs) / 2.5kg (5 lbs) / 5kg (10lbs) etc while lifting up to +150kg? To intelligent to do the math.
My lifts are:
5x60kg (130lbs) BP
5x90kg (200lbs) SQ
5x95kg (210lbs) DL
5x40kg (90lbs) OHP
So I want to be able to have enough equipment to bring me to over 100kg (220lbs).
Home Gym General as well, I guess.
Remember when you kept asking when you would use Parametric Equations and how it wasn't any use in Algebra II?
>>40124385
are parametric equations relevant somehow?
The most practical is (8) 45 plates, (2) 25 plates, (4) 10 plates, (2) 5 plates. That will have you set for probably under a year until you'll need two more 45 plates for your deadlift.

"Show me boipuci"
Been on SS for 1 year. All my lifts are in the Intermediate range. I feel ready for a change, want to start cutting, ready for different exercises.
Im thinking the next step is PPL with high reps but have absolutely no clue. Is this what's generally recommended now?
Also, I'm really ready to move on to more varied exercises than the standard compound movements.
Any advice where to go now?
PPL is a fantastic routine and probably your absolute best choice if your goal is aesthetics.
Alternatives would be Sheiko, Texas Method, Juggernaut Method, 5/3/1...
Sheiko or Texas Method would be for if you want to powerlift, Sheiko being the better of the two. Juggernaut is fantastic for athletic goals. 5/3/1 is good if you're a lazy shit and just want to stay in shape.

>PPL is a fantastic routine and probably your absolute best choice if your goal is aesthetics.
I figure this is the route to take, considering all that I've read states it's not possible to grow muscle during a cut, only maintain as much as you can. Since I now want to cut, this seems like the best option.
The main thing I want to pursue now is losing the fat I've gained over the last year and hopefully start to show the muscle I've gained.
>>40123621
For what it's worth, I don't think it's strictly true as a relatively new lifter. There's a decent chance that you will gain a little bit of muscle during your cut because it's going to be your first exposure to so much volume and your body may prioritize building muscle with your food intake calories, which is an extra bonus since you'll then be on an even bigger deficit...
Past that, the increased volume will give you increased work capacity and better conditioning that will benefit you immensely.
Hope it all goes smooth mang.
is it okay if i just do 3x4 on the bench press? i keep getting scared and racking it before the fifth rep.

>is it ok if I just don't workout?
Someone didn't read the sticky.
When I drink a protein shake, a couple hours later I start farting every 10 minutes for the next 10 hours or so and it smells really bad. It happens with all protein powders I've ever drank.
Does anyone else get this?
What can I do about it?
I get this.
As far as I'm concerned it's my gfs problem not mine. Although mine don't smell that bad.

My hip flexors are fucked. It takes about 15 minutes of foam rolling, stretching, and light squatting before I can squat heavy without pain.
I'm thinking about giving up squatting forever and doing some rehab with my flexors. Would it be sufficient to just deadlift and leg press from now on? Also, which hip flexor mobility/stretches work best for you?
>>40122662
No just do lighter weight squats, more reps, and lots of stretches.
Mine were super fucked too when I first started. Just foam roll and lots of dynamic stretches now, never feel pain anymore.
>>40122662
I get this weird feeling on one leg only, not even a pain, just slight discomfort when squaring
I had it for over a year, took breaks from lifting but it didn't make difference, seems like its permanent
What causes this?
Will it get worse if I just continue squating through it?
>>40122928
It's some kind of asymmetry that's the root cause, strength wise or mobility wise. Likely the latter. I'd guess that it's either your glute, or your hip flexors. Something like that, anyway, from my own personal experience. Could also manifest as some kind of pelvic tilt (laterally). It could lead to injury over time, likely in some joint. Probably the knee. Things like this usually happen because of bad or uneven posture. Sitting with one leg over the other, sleeping on one side only, that kind of thing. Try a general mobility and stretching regimen.
