Sup /fit/ overlords, i am building a home gym and i am thinking how the fuck will i secure myself while press-benching if i fuck up something. I am a beginner so i dont know too much what is too heavy and what not for me. Is there a special bench or something that could help be not die and break my ribcage when solo at the gym?

There was a kickstarter project for a bench you could kick a lever and the bench would drop and the rack bars would catch the weight. It was crazy expensive. Would like to make one myself like that though.
I suffer from depression and like most mental issues there are good and bad days. Today is a very bad day. It's also back day which is usually the hardest workout I do. Normally I do 10 sets of very heavy barbell rows, then 5 sets of pullups and 3 sets of deadlifts.
All of these require a ton of mental energy to do heavy, and I just dont have it in me to push myself today. Could /fit/ give me some ideas?
Do I leave it for tomorrow or do I do a light weight workout just so I don't skip it?

Go to the gym today and if you're a fat fuck just start with walking on the treadmill and make steps towarda a weight training plan. I recommend Starting Strength (torrent that shit).
