i like to do 21s. do 21 pullups, no matter how many sets it takes. i started at being able to do about 4, then next set like 3, and then 2, so it took a while. im doing 12 the first set now, then 9 the next. time for me to start adding weight. add them at the end of your workout.
i do regular pullups but every now and then, switch to chinups for a couple weeks. then try wrapping a towel around it and doing pullups by gripping that. it will switch up how your muscles are work and even work your grip more.
if u wanna get fancy, look up "skinning the cat". its pretty good for your core.
you can start working towards 1 armed pullups when you are stronger.
you can do leg raises off of it and use your core to stop yourself from swinging too much. this will blast your core.

Hey I am just trying to lose weight and I am on week 3 of the couch to 5k program. I am realizing that my shoes are terrible for running (vans hi tops).
