I think that no matter what life situation you're in, your problems seem equally large and your suffering is about equal.
But having abs means at least that your body will never be something that relates to/causes any of that suffering, and can oftentimes be something that brings your head out of that suffering.

Currently doing a greyskull lp variant. have very little experience lifting and a small body type. 5ft 8 and 157 pounds. I'm training to get stronger and put weight on.
working out three times per week. 2*5 sets and reps then 1*amrap for the third set of each of the compound movements apart from deadlift which is 1*amrap.
Week1
Bench, pendlay row, back squat, chin ups
OHP, deadlift, front squat, chin ups
Bench, pendlay row, back squat, chin ups
Week2
OHP, pendlay row, back squat, chin ups
Bench, deadlift, front squat, chin ups
OHP, pendlay row, back squat, chin ups
chin ups are done as many reps as possible. sometimes I'll throw in curls, skull crushers or calve raises depending on how I feel after the compounds.
just got my diet in check and aiming for at least 2.7K cals per day. Opinions, thoughts and knowledge are welcome thanks for reading.

I do pullups, chinups, lat pulldowns, pendlay rows, cable rows, but I've seen no growth at all. I keep good form, but I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

Eat more
Soak them in water for 2 hours, then peel them
Dont pull from your hands, use them only as you would use hooks. Pull from your elbows/by moving your shoulderblades back or down depending on the movement. Dont be afraid to lower weight til you feel your lats working, form is more important than weight. Right now youre probably doing most of the work with biceps/arm flexors.

It doesn't get in the way of other stuff but I do pose shirtless daily and admire what I've accomplished. I went from obese 270lb at 6' to a pretty lean and built 195. Never had a good physique before and seeing my vascularity and muscles and shit is new and cool
