how do i make eye contact gains

after 6 months of being a neet, when i leave my house i just stare down and dont look anybody in the eye anymore

Stare and smile or nod.

If they're cute girl or a girl in general make eye contact, smile, then keep walking.

If its a guy, nod when you make eye contact.
Or do that chin thrust thing black people do. One or the other. Show respect but don't look down like a fucking bitch.
>>
>>42729238
I have never seen anyone to the nod thing wtf
>>
>>42729266
Maybe because you are a social autist, a small nod is a classic greeting which is just a small "we're friends, and I acknowledge you"

But of course, you'd need friends for that.

hey guys i just started working at a job. its pretty fast pace and i do break a tad sweat. do any of you go to the gym straight from work or go before? should i invest in a pwo?

I workout after work, I have bought one of this pull up stations where you can do many exercises for your back and arms. I have no time to drive to a gym and make food after that.

hey guys looking for an Instagram account I saw posted here a few times a while back. It's from a girl in an american college (I think michigan? she was alway decked out in yellow and dark blue) that was super sexy. She showed a lot of school spirit on her account and might have been from mixed/latino descent. anyone know who I talking about? Cheers

PS what is your favorite bench press variation?

She posted photos of her at tailgates, w/ her friends you kbiw regular girl stuff but because she was so cute she got posted around here. I sometimes saw her pictures posted around here without link to the IG account.

No but its better to not do it at once but on intervals for examples every hour or something, I walk for 5 minutes every 30 minutes and it is great. You start to get really happy and it is proven that it helps with mood and blood flow but also with the brain, you can google it yourself

Eh I work retail I'll do that in a shift.

>B-but natties need to train more often cause of muh muscle protein synthesis returning to baseline after 24-48 ho-

http://jap.physiology.org/content/118/4/495#ref-20

"To date, only a single study has reported the within-subject association between acute MPS rates after RE and skeletal muscle hypertrophy after prolonged RT (15). Another study attempted to correlated MPS measured 24 h after the first training session with muscle hypertrophy (14) In neither study was a linear correlation between MPS and hypertrophy observed."

All that matters is total work done on a weekly/monthly basis, training frequency has minimal if any effect in gains.

Nope.

Shitposting aside, people need to fucking stop posting about how they need to train often in order to get any gains.
It's all in the volume, the ammount of total work done.

how can keto ever work for lifting people if you burn through glycogen all the time?

>innb4 100 mile runners
I don't care
9 posts and 3 images submitted.
>>
>>42728545
You're always burning a combination of bodyfat and carbohydrates, but in different ratios depending on the intensity of effort; at rest, you're using almost exclusively bodyfat for energy. At an 'all-day pace' you're using mostly bodyfat for fuel, and a little bit of carbohydrate. At Tempo or Threshold, you're using much more carbohydrate. Anaerobic, you're using nothing but carbohydrate. So essentially you can't be an endurance athlete and be on a keto diet, it just doesn't work, because you're restricted to a very slow pace/very low level of intensity, because all you've got for fuel is bodyfat, which is slow compared to carbohydrates.
>>
>>42728545
That's why people who lift have to add a "loading" day once a week with big amount of carbs to refill the glycogen storage of the muscles. But generally speaking keto is not good for gaining muscle mass (bulking). It's good for cutting and for other health benefits.
>>
>>42728738
I race bikes and during pre-Base and Base periods of my training I'll limit (or even eliminate entirely) carbs from my bike bottles to accelerate losing any excess bodyfat I want to try to get rid of before more intense training phases make it impossible to not take carbs with me.

>In determining the ideal number of sets, one must decide between either maximizing return on investment by achieving most of the results with minimal investment of time (eg: 1 warm-up and 1 workout set) or investing the time required for marginally more gains (eg: 4 sets).

If there are many studies to show that 1 set is as effective and efficient as multiple reps, why are we still advocating 3-5 sets?

They're hoping to build a bit more muscle mass and work capacity.

Most high level pro lifters say that you can do one single set of heavy squats bench ohp deadlift whatever and be done for the entire week.

And that's fine.
BUT the current paradigm of 3-5x5 is popular and simple. They need to create a balance between maximum strength and having a bit of the much needed strength endurance and work capacity that would make that strength useful.

It's, to be honest, a lazy way of ensuring that they'll add and do the needed amount of movements to ensure that they'll get stronger.

Telling them to do one single set where they can do only 1-5 but leave 2 reps in the tank then do NOTHING ELSE for the day is insane to them.

Maybe it's because it's just mindlessly followed dogma. I think that actually might be the case because none of the studies done about maximum repsxsets for mass and strength even considered something outside of the norm.

>Most high level pro lifters say that you can do one single set of heavy squats bench ohp deadlift whatever and be done for the entire week.
they're also "just warming up" with 3.5pl8 on the bar. the aggregate of their squat warmup sets weighs more than an early intermediate lifter's total setsxreps
>>
High reps help people learn form. Seasoned lifters have the movement patterns ingrained so don't need to bother.

130 lb skinny twig here. How the actual fuck do I gain weight, never been above 140 in my life. Protein powder?
Also, how do I even begin to lift at this weight? I've always been strictly cardio, XC runner through high school and kept the habit going until now. Should I stop and focus on weight training?

>>
>>42727797
you have to eat. a lot. every day.
you track your calories to ensure that you're eating a lot everyday.
and then you lift heavy things and put them down. consistently. week after week. month after month.
If you eat but dont lift you'll become skinny-fat.
if you lift but don't eat, you'll just feel like shit.
you have to want it bad enough. do you want it?

Can we have a real talk about carbs? We receive so much mixed info about them. Some say never eat them. Others say eat as many as you like. What is the truth?

Stopped eating carbs and that "stubborn" fat on my body finally started to disappear -- the kind of stubborn fat that seems only actual starvation would make it disappear
>>
If you have that stubborn fat then you should cut till it dissappears. After that you can have as many carbs as long as you don't exceed caloric intake and gain weight.
>>
>>42727325
Just dont gorge on them like a fat pos and you'll be fine. There's no need to go all or nothing
