When did you guys realise that deadlifts are completely unnecessary if your goal is hypertrophy?
once I kept snapping my shit up despite having perfect form and posting numerous form critique videos for others to scrutinize. A lot, not all, of the powerlifting community has this hive mentality to where if you get hurt, it's 100% your form and nothing else.
No one thinks deadlifts are for hypertrophy. Deadlifts are for strength and that's what most people on /fit/ are going for, that's why they're so popular on this board

I wanna get fit for real and actually feel like a human being again.
I just ordered a scale 10 minutes ago. I don't know how fat i really haven't weighed myself in years i guess i'm somwhere between 140 and 200kg so i ordered a scale that can messure up to 200kg. I started eating healthier a couple months ago (cut all candy/sodas etc.) but i wasn't really losing weight just didn't get any fatter. 2 weeks ago i started drastically limiting the amount of bread/carbs i eat and also started counting calories currently aiming for 1500-1800 (probably too low i will adjust it once i have my scale)
Any tips, comments etc.?

Losing fat, especially at the level you're at, is entirely about consuming less calories than you burn. Find whatever weird & unique (or not) way lets you do that in the most mentally painless and sustainable way possible, and you will eventually not be fat.

I've met a bet with a shitty arrogant relative about going from full dyel to having made a great progress in a short amount of time while living in the student dorms without a frige.
The bet looks like this: if I can go from 60kg to 70kg in 7 weeks while still looking good (not like a fucking barrell or a fatass) they will pay all of the food and supps I had used to achieve that.
To do this I'm going to follow a 4 day upper-lower workout program (lyle mcdonald) while eating 3 meals at the cafeteria and then order the dinner from the internet.
In addition to that, I'm going to get me an actual gainer with beef proteins.
Does this look promising or should I alter it a bit?

Hey legit question here: is it weird to ask a stranger to spot you for bench? Should I reciprocate spotting? Should I introduce myself? My bench is progressing at a snail's pace because I never do more than I am positive I can do.
