When I did oly lifting properly but also wanted to do some considerable accessory work I worked out 2.5 hours in the morning and 1.5 hours in the evening 5 times a week. All of this was heavy lifting only, and usually 1 rep maxes or up to 5 for accessories totalling about 20 hours of heavy lifting per week. I even did a smolov on the side and bulgarian training for a month.

After a while I stopped being able to fall asleep and I felt as i was constantly tired and also hyper. I laid off a bit and it got better. I started the same and it came back.

It is pretty annoying but you truly have to do retarded shit to get it. If you are on gear you probably have to lift 8 hours a day

I've been thinking more about that book I was reading (Building the Perfect Beast).
To recap, the author suggested breaking up cycles into phases (androgenic, anabolic, and estrogen/cortisol reduction) to mitigate the negative feedback loop of homeostasis.
So now I'm wondering, what could one do for the anabolic phase without using insulin and gh? He didn't have any suggestions other than that in the anabolic section. If you're not willing to use insulin, do you just not have that phase?

One other thing: 90 percent of my friends are completely oblivious to steroid use and literally don't even know that the Mr. Olympia competitors use steroids, let alone fitness models, Hollywood actors, et cetera. One of my best friends freaked the fuck out when I mentioned the fact that his beloved football team is almost certainly full of steroid users, like every other team in the NFL.

The other 10 percent are convinced that everyone with a halfway respectable physique MUST be on something.
