What's /fit/ opinion on this clown?
>>40443839
He's stronger than anybody on this board, so he's a pretty cool guy.

he's basically the antithesis of /fit/
>Happy
>Flexible
>enjoys life
>Has friends
>Strong
>Aesthetic
>doesn't share his opinions and just gets shit done
>Slow negatives
>smith machine
>lat pulldown
>He doesn't do slow negatives

What's wrong with Lat pulldown
FACT: Training for Ninja Warrior is the best way to get /fit/
Prove me wrong.
There's not a single person on /fit/ that could finish the newest cliffhanger

When is next tryouts? Anyone know
>>40443645
It might be the best way for turbomanlets, for anyone that's a respectable height (5'8"+), sticking to a powerlifting routine is still the best way.

Talk to me about your gym. Tell me what you like about it. Tell me where it could use some improvements.
My current gym is disgusting, but I plan on moving this summer and it is always refreshing to know there are decent gyms out there.
My gym:
>All equipment manufactured circa 1981
>Nothing is ever cleaned ever and it smells like it
>Women and non-schizos are afraid to enter the weight room
>40 and 50 something's with apparent head injuries trying to relive god-knows-what
>Literally obese roiders
>Jon bon Jovi on the stereo
Tell me about your gyms so that I may dream
>>40443211
my gym is gross but it has all the equipment i need and i can afford it, also way less normies than the popular gyms
>gym is small as fuck, at best 8x6 meters
>has barely any equipment at all
>only 1 bench, DBs going from 2 to 27kg and a single frame for chin ups/dips
>windows look out on a street where random people walk past and stare at you if you do dips
>a fucking cat walks in randomly and sleeps on the bench
>continuously smells like sweat, jizz and tuna
>the faggot DYEL who owns it literally sleeps there
>he doesnt even leave, he just stays there all day either lifting or using the computer
I guess thats what you get when you have a home gym.
>>40443211
I actually really like my gym
>it's housed in what was once a small warehouse
>has 5 power cages
>two monolifts for squats
>6 benches
>5 deadlifting platforms
>dumbbells ranging from 5-200lbs
>two oly platforms w/ full bumper plates
>strongman training area
>several free chalk stands
>atlas stones, truck tires, beer kegs, etc
>manager has been lifting for 30+ years and has extensive knowledge on pretty much everything regarding lifting
>rest of staff is friendly and can hold a conversation
>other patrons are welcoming and non judgemental
>despite being 1/2/3/4, im one of the weaker regulars
>hosts fun events like Highlander games and Chili cook offs in the spring
>also has a couple of lolfederation PL events too
It's a 9/10 gym. Smells a little funky sometimes though. Also doesn't really have a locker room, it's more like a closet where you can change. It's about $45 a month for the yearly membership and I don't plan on ever leaving
>This will never be you
How do you cope with this?

jeff PLS go

As someone who started running a month ago
I quit smoking yesterday
What improvements to my running times will I see and how soon will I see them?
When I started running I could barely make it half a mile without stopping
My 5k time is currently 24:45 but I need to cut that down to 22:00
> quit yesterday
> already has to post about it
So you didn't quit?
about 0.2 seconds daily / mile
>>40443049
I'm thinking ahead - trying to gauge the improvements I'll see - maybe that'll top my 2 months quit before :^)
>>40443079
This is going to be slow going it seems
7 foot 7 has to eat 5000 calories to maintain
can /fit/ do the math how much does this man whey?
>>40441737
A good 500 pounds
I wounder what his dick looks like.

Muscles can definitely give you an edge in a fight. Weight classes exist for a reason.
>>40440820
why would i think that
>being stronger than your opponent wont help in a fight
How to do Starting Strength without a Squat rack?
> gf wants to start lifting
> SS t-rex mode is GOAT for girls
> the only gym near her home is sort of a "planet fitness"
> no power rack
> no squat rack
> no rack at all
there's a smith machine tho
cmon
>>40440700
Build one. Buy some raw steel and meld your own rack, that's what I did.
>>40441317
kek same. seems autistic in hindsight but i used the fuck out of that thing for years. literally wouldn't start lifting until it was built.
How do I fix this posture, /fit/?
>>40439041
Is this why my tailbone hurts after squatting sometimes?
>>40439041
don't, keep the bubble butt
>>40439041
do lunges, butterflies for stretching and train your abs proportionally with your lower back.
For Men and Women...
>how do you do it?
>what effects did you notice?
>how did affect your sex life?
>how to turn up a notch
So let me get this started then
started a couple of months back, didn't even know it matter for a male
really helped a lot, got much stronger erections
but lately been lacking off,
most notably because its hard to keep track and remember doing, specially when not playing with muh penis

Isn't it work out not work in?
Read the sticky four times but fugg it I'm going for it~
Lurk here all the time and I'm getting back into the swing of working out again after taking (almost) 2 mo. "hiatus" from lifting heavy in an actual gym to work on getting over someone from my past. Didn't take very long as I spent 2 weeks preparing to leave him for fucking other girls behind my back, covering it up, and being comfy lying about it to my face.
After 2 weeks I began lifting very light weights (2, 3, 5, 8lb) with high reps. 3 weeks in I went vegan. Suddenly I became super weak after 3 days and reverted to body weight exercise. :/ This is a back slide because I was lifting heavy 3 mo. ago.
I'd still like to keep my vegan diet bc new lover *care deeply for* is in the Navy, fit, has noticed a change in my body and is responding positively. I love the attention he gives to me and the gifts he mails me for working so hard. It's been motivating and uplifting...I don't want to disappoint him because I cared about him *before* he started doing these things for me and he loved my physique anyway. I just want to further improve myself and live a fit lifestyle. He has been going as far as to sending me personalized workouts each day that he makes up just for me with miles to complete if I have a rest day on my Nike Running Coach Program (even when he's underway)...but the workouts seem to all be based around booty growth and my butt. won't. grow!! I have creatine but I believe it's a little foolish to take it considering I'm not attending a gym yet. :(
I'm 23, 5'8", and my weight fluctuates around 175-163lbs.
Any advice for breaking past a 3 yr plateau would be appreciated as well. Thanks in advance for not talking badly about my physique or this post. My English is poor. Studying languages for a living.
