I train BJJ. Did muay thai for a while but dropped it because not enought ime. It's pretty much all cardio so it doesn't help at all with gains, you will still need to lift.
As for how useful it is, it depends on what you mean. It won't turn you into some unbeatable ninja but knowing you can hold yourself against an average retard who tries to be funny with you is already a big confidence boost.

I am a black belt judo, I avoid clashes at all costs but know how to defend if I need to.

Well the thing is that it increases DHT levels, which in turn accelerates male pattern balding if you are already predisposed to it.
So, if you are not predisposed it won't make a difference. If you are, however, you might lose your hair faster, but it would probably have happened sooner or later anyway.
