i'm currently doing SL, and planning to dial it down to only twice a week. i will also stop cardio and take walks instead 3x a week.
i want to try cutting to 12% bf before focusing on clean bulking/cutting cycles for strength/muscle gains.
at my current bf, about 18%, eating at a 500 cal deficit would make cutting about 3 months long. would rather suffer more for a few weeks.

Hi everyone. I'm a 21 yr old women (including that because those facts can help you help me find the info I need for my new health lifestyle) and I really want to improve my health, and my life. All my life I've been so self-conscious about my weight, and I've been able to workout and diet and improve before, but I've never been properly informed about physical fitness and nutrition, so I've always managed to do some amount of damage to myself at the same time. for example; when I had a vegetarian lifestyle, I wasn't aware of just how many nutrients I was losing/missing while I tried intense cardio and weight training, and I ended up pretty sick. I've done some research but it's hard for me to draw up a good, consistent workout and diet plan to ensure I don't become sick again. I would like to hear any advice or stories any of you may have to help better inform me? Thanks~
Make sure you cut out sodas, junk food, fast food, eat LOTS of raw vegetables/fruit, lean meat, like chicken and light fish. Not tilapia, despite what people say it is NOT good for you. warm up before working out for like 15 minutes, stretch for like 30 after, give yourself a rest day every few days to let yourself recover, do NOT weigh yourself more than every other month; it'll drive you crazy and you will lose your motivation. Workout with a friend who will motivate you and push you but not discourage you. Change up the routine; be consistent but don't micro-manage yourself. Give yourself a cheat day once in a while, but make sure its not heavy in fat or oil cause that could make you sick. Supplement the vitamins and stuff you're missing if you do vegetarian, especially iron and find protein substitutes. Stay on top of blood sugar, sodium, iron, electrolytes, water, potassium, and avoid energy drinks. Hope this helps.
