I've been getting serious about getting in shape, but calorie intake is confusing. I am currently trying to lose fat, and trying to gain muscle. Should I be increasing or decreasing my calorie intake from my usual 2000 a day? Pic is unrelated
we need shirtless pic and body stats and lift stats to give an accurate answer. Usually you want to eat 300-500 below TDEE to cut fat for a few weeks then as you plateau eat at maintenance or above and lift heavy.
Problem is you bulbasaur posting faggots think your'e at the ready to maintenance eat stage
when really you need to cut a shit load more.
Post pics faggot.

You do one or the other. Losing fat means eating at a deficit, and inevitably means you'll lose muscle. Gaining muscle means eating at a surplus, and inevitably putting on fat. You have to balance the two and rotate in order too get aesthetics.

Go to Google and type in TDEE calculator and enter the information it asks. Then eat around 500 less calories from that number everyday.
>been lifting for three years
>Pretend I'm in a VR mission
>each lift is like a level, ultimate goal is to be Solid Snake - a super soldier
>when I'm at my end, I play the mission complete theme
>I have the VR missions ost
>''EXCELLENT, SNAKE''.
>Proceed to the next level
I know you do it too

no but i'll start thanks for the tip
I like to think of it as composing a song, for example
>diddlies could be the bass line, repeat those for x amount of Common time (1/4?, having a hard time translating)
>lat pulldowns could be a guitar lick
I basically imagine a riff and it plays while I am doing the lifting, each pull would be a repeat, and then after my set is done I imagine that in combination with the previous lifts of the day, and then I play them back in my head together and I imagine myself in let's say five different positions and a neat tune playing at the end of my workout.
>every time before a set I mutter to myself "I lift things up then put them down"
>get diet in order
>decent form
>finally making good gains
>wrist injury
>good form
>wrist injury
Unless you slipped on an ice patch, laffing.

Decent form. I hurt it on pullups though, and not sure what I could have done to avoid it.
>>40497644
could have stop doing pull ups
Whats the worst supplement you have ever bought/taken, and why was it so bad?
it's all a waste of money.
>>40497495
the pre workouts with dmaa give a nice kick and id say are worth the money.
Nothing. I only use whey, essential vitamins such as Vitamin D and Magnesium, and caffeine.
Can I go to the bar right after taking this shit? Has anyone done it
>>40497228
do not unless u want kick out of ur bar or get kicked in the head.
yes it is a pre workout. You should lift the bar many times soon after taking.
this might make you more energetic and feel motivated to lift shit up and put it down but I couldn't really see this boosting your interpersonal skills senpai. get ur autism in check instead
So I started watching vegangz videos about 2 years ago just for a laugh as they're posted on here quite a bit. Recently I've been re watching them out of boredom and I do see myself agreeing with his point of view slightly. I've looked up the studies he cited about the meat industry causing huge amounts of greenhouse gases, the horrible conditions animals go through and how unsustainable cow/chicken farming is.
The only thing I disagree with him on is how unhealthy meat is. He tends to focus a lot purely on beef and red meats yet doesn't seem to mention that most body builders and lifters avoid them and stick with chicken which is far less likely to cause heart disease etc.
I have seen him sperge out a lot though, like when he jokes about it being okay for him to kill meat eaters children it just seems a bit too real. However I admire how he isn't afraid to take on big you tubers in his videos no matter how many fans they have.
I'd like the discussion of this thread to be based purely on how sustainable eating meat is for this planet. I know he has a shit physique.
Diary products and eggs are just plain fucking horrible for you. A lot of meat is to but like you said chicken breast and poultry isnt really bad. Some fish isnt bad either, depends where they are caught from.
It is good not to support systematic cruelty. If you are going to eat meat then go to a local farm and see how they raise the chickens. As for sustainability, the real problem nobody talks about is that there are just already way too many fucking people on the planet. The only thing at this point we could do is a genocide

>dairy and eggs horrible for you

Too bad his program is garbage
I had started lifting about 1 year ago at 120 lbs and 5'10 and I am currently 182 lbs as of this morning. I spent the first 6 months screwing around the gym and seeing hella noob gains anyways and only recently started doing 5x5s and my lifts are way disproportional and I mean waaaaaaaaaaaaay disproportional. These are my 1RMs
Bench: 145
Squat: 185
Dead: 315
no bullshit no shenanigans. Any ideas on how to fix this, programs, diet, stretches, form tips, anything.
self bump
How does one gain 60lbs in a year ? It must be a lot of fat.
Friend of mine gained 60lbs in a year, but he was on meds and basically turned into a fat zombie.
You probably have long ass fucking arms that make you a great deadlifter. Just do ss and your gains will regulate themselves.
OK, noob question here...
I'm currently doing a two day split of upper body and legs, so I do 3 days of upper body, 3 days of legs, and 1 day of rest per week.
I'm thinking of changing to a 4 day split (back/tris, chest/bis, shoulders/core, legs).
My question is, if for example you're only working your legs one day a week as opposed to two or three, does that mean it will take longer for your legs to get stronger? Just unsure of the correct explanation here. Thanks.
Yes less legs training = less muscle built per week.
Also you could do ppl and hit everything twice a week. It's basically Chest/tris/shoulders, back/traps/biceps, legs.
do the 5 main lifts + a few accessories thrown in there
>>40496957
yeah that sounds like a better option. It seems like a long break if you're going 5 days+ between working out certain muscles
>>40496920
If you are able work out your legs every other day then you aren't properly working your legs out.
Anon what are you doing at 2:58 AM on this board? You need sleep for your gains anon...
>>40496835
It's only 8:00 but I probably will be up that late on /fit/ anyway because since my girlfriend left me a few days ago I can't sleep unless I sleep on the couch while listening to a podcast. That's seriously the only way I can sleep now.
>>40497027
feels bad going to bed alone, doesn't it? but at least you're not in africa fighting for bread crumbs. live your life dude, it's just a girl.

Hey fit, got my blood checked last week, apparently I'm consuming so much protein that it is appearing in my blood, or my doctor says so.
I wanted to know how in the hell I'm doing that, and if it's actually a problem. It's not like all I do is eat protein all day
Protein is always in your blood dummy

Hmm... driving around... eating delicious spicy chicken... getting patreon money.
I think he'll be fine. However, he seems to have high neuroticism, which isn't bad.
I like it.
I would love to see him get fucking yoked.
>mfw the best part about having a scale in your bathroom is weighing yourself pre and post poo so you can see how big your boom boom was.
What's your record /fit/?
My average is 1kg of waste (includes urination during defecation)
Lost like two pounds after going to the bathroom. Not talking about British currency.
I can gain or lose like 5lbs of weight in a matter of hours depending on how much food/water I've had, but I tell people my weight with the extra 5lbs of food/water.
