On this routine, the only thing you will gain is a big squat. It has ONE upper body exercise and you will end up looking like a T-rex.

There is nothing wrong with SS. The only way you end up with disproportionate legs is if you stay on it too long (It's a beginner routine, don't stay on it too long.)

You could get a fairly good sized upper body with body weight alone, just put in the work. I'd look around on youtube for some dumbells workouts you can do.

If you have a bench, just do the usual. Dumbbell flys, dumbbell press, etc.
Without any form of improv bench, try the same things on flat ground, still help quite a bit, until you can get a proper set up. Do rows, weighted squats, bicep curls, and pretty much every other makeshift exercise you can think of.
Also, do incline push ups, weighted sit ups, etc etc.
Not optimal, but improv is a billion times better than nothing.

How in the hell is it possible for some one to squat more than dead lift? I just don't get it? Me and my friend do the same work out. We wiegh the same (186lbs) but have a different height (I'm 6ft he's 5'8). I can squat 325 and my diddy is 385, he can squat 405 but only diddy 365, just don't get how it's possible

I don't know about your friend, op, but when I was on betaxolol I would have lowered blood pressure and passed out one of the times doing deadlifts. I wasn't able to train as hard as I wanted to at the time and am now having a hard time catching it up and beyond. It'll get there soon enough, though.
