About 3 1/2 years ago I had a lot of neck pain and had an MRI which showed a bulging disc in my neck. The pain did go over time and flares up now and then.
Part of my treatment was some Physio and varies exercises. I noticed during this period that my ears got plugged and they then bothered me for about a year and long after I stopped doing exercise.
I have now got myself a Personal Trainer and had my first session with her two days ago and my ears are plugged again. I googled this and there a few people saying they experience a similar thing with exercise.
My question is, do any of you, what is it, how do you get it to stop ? I'm so gutted as I want to get fitter and stronger but I cannot stand how my ears feel. :(
Bump, Hellllp please.
I've never heard of this... It maybe how your breathing during your lifting? Like when you brace yourself and hold your breath, you ma be forcing air into your tunes that run from the back of your throat to your inner ears, thus causing the plugged up feeling.

How long did it take you to reach 1pl8 ohp/2pl8 bench/3pl8 squat/4pl8 diddy lift one rep maxes?

Good on you fag
Read the sticky for good info on weight training.
While you don't have a bench (you should really get one they're cheap and you can often find one for free on craigslist) you can use floor press like this (www.workoutplan.com/how-to-bench-press-without-a-bench/) and shoulder press like this (https://www.bodybuilding.com/exercises/detail/view/name/standing-dumbbell-press-)
But if you're a fatass you should really think of focusing on proper form cardio (start out with walks and don't go for too far a distance when you start running, focus on proper form and getting a fast workout in in minimal time with short distances and sprints)
Overhead press
Dumbell Deadlifts
Dumbell Squats
Buy a bench, do dumbell bench press
Tricep extensions
Reverse curls
Lateral raises
Farmer walks
Find a place to do dips, get a pull-up bar if you don't have a place to do pull-ups/chin-ups, leg raises, and windshield wipers already.

Also shrugs.
Am I locked in for life?
I'm making great progress lifting heavy, doing cardio, and tracking calories, but I feel like if I ever stopped weighing my dinner on a scale or knowing the calorie content in my Olive Garden order, I'd get fucked up real quick.
Is it ever going to be possible for me to just order at a restaurant without trying to calculate calories in my head? Can I ever just eat the way I want without having to justify it by bulking?
You're in it for life bro
>>40540352
I was afraid of that. The burden of being healthier than 95% of the population, man.
>>40540371
Wouldn't trade it for anything though, but don't be afraid to go have fun.

How do I become a sick cunt and stop caring about what women think
>>40540094

Before or after I snort coke off of their cocks?
>>40540094
realize that most women are a meme and you just want their cunts, why care about someone's opinion when they're basically not even human :^)
The only reason that amateur """bodybuilders""" and """powerlifters""" say HIIT is superior to LISS cardio is because they lack the minimal mental fortitude required to push through a long cardio workout. Because of this, they lack the cardio base to even manage an exhaustive HIIT workout.
>>40540052
Or they have jobs and don't have time to do hours of cardio a day
Very true. Most lifters are a joke health-wise.
>>40540893
lol. "hours a day" you sound like a fat person who says they don't have time to work out.
>>40540912
my cardio takes 45 minutes + my lifts which is another hour and change
tbf 2 hours a day is still hours
I have a question on when lifting becomes really beneficial. I'm 19, 5'10" about 140lb mostly muscle from my pull up bar, pushups and biking, but I'm still very slim. I'm kind of a pretty boy, so I have no trouble with women irl and on tinder but I'm wondering how long this will last if I don't start lifting. I'm 100% healthy so that's not really a motivation to lift but I'm scared as women and I get older they will want a bigger guy. At what age is it almost mandatory to start lifting so I don't fall behind? Until just having a pretty face doesn't cut it?
The right answer is NOW
>>40539994
Never. Majority of people don't lift but majority of people have gf.
>>40540750
this. sounds like you are already a step ahead of most people. Average guy is so fucking dyel
I'd still start lifting weights because it is the greatest thing ever.
how to start getting into intermittent fasting? what should I read to learn about how to do this?
all you have to do is not eat
>>40539946
Don't eat until the evening. Then you eat. Then don't eat until the evening of the next day.
>>40539946
pick an 8 hour eating window that suits your lifestyle (i do 12pm-8pm) and only eat during then. Make sure to stay in your TDEE (less kcals if cutting, more if bulking).
Black coffee/water are great while fasted.
Alright /fit/ clear this up for me because the internet is not being consistent.
on what workout day does power cleans come in?
Is it squat > bench press > power clean or squat > bench press > dead lift; in which the power clean would be in workout B after military press?
And do you do the power cleans for 5x3 or 3x5?
I'm getting a constant mix whenever I look it up. I intend on buying The book but I want to start today and need to get this figured out.
Also post stories of when you first started SS.

power clean into Press (tm) for maximum gains
>Read that women cannot into Overhead press
>TFW I cannot overhead press more than 80lbs for 5 reps
Why even live anymore desu? I've stalled on this weight for 4 months now.
>>40539483
Next workout try progressing in a way other than weight.
Example: try doing your 5 reps in a slower and controlled manner, feel each rep and power through.
Another thing you could do is try to increase by 1 rep per set; or even add in an extra set of 5 reps. After 4 months, the blockage is likely mental (unless you're not eating enough)
>>40539517
I literally can't though.
Plus my strength varies so i do either 75lbs or 80lbs. I can't do a single more rep, like I literally can't lift the weight.
Ok so you need progressive overload. And then when you fail to complete a rep, you deload. And then you eat and eat and eat and work back up to your weight through progressive overload progression and sleep 8-9 hours the day of OHP and you set a new PR. Any questions? As a side note, i think many women are unwilling to gain weight. If you are unwilling to gain weight like most of the guys on this board who you see progress on OHP, dont expect to progress like them. Not accusing you, just a thoughtm pic related its ya bois shoulders

Is there any point in having a back day? Is there even any carryover to other lifts if you have a strong back?

Redpill me on keto diet (yes, I've read the sticky).
Is it a good lifestyle? What about bulking and cutting? How do you do the math? Did any of you experience it?
I lost 30 pounds on keto
It's a good way for fatties to lose weight. It teaches you to read labels and understand what you are eating.
The lack of carbs can impair your intensity in the gym, so it's not recommended for bulking or higher level cutting (i.e. people who already have pretty low body fat, and are trying to get even lower.)
It's good for getting lean/losing weight (lost 40 lbs on it)
I'd never do it long term, counting calories is so much more practical in the grand scheme of things. If you try and give up all that stuff, you'll end up just binge eating that shit, moderation is key.
Post your transformation pics boys
