I have not been to the gym in 3 years. I want to go back but I can't find the time or motivation. I finally was able to bench more than my own weight and I stopped going lol. I wish I would go back but I can't seem to find the time for it, my schedule is packed. Feels bad man
What time of day is best to work out? How do I make time without cutting my hours at work? I have college till noon M-F
I posted this in another thread but decided to start my own.

Shut the fuck up you fucking faggot you are a piece of shit trash crybaby "I want to go to the gym but I can't find the motivation" don't even bother thinking about going with that fucking attitude because you obviously dont care about fitness. you will be wasting time and money, you will get shit tier results, what the fuck do you expect to get out of this thread, you will never make it.

I have access to a gym for free, my main problem is the time. When I worked out in the past it was tough getting started, but when I got into it I fell into a rhythm, and had mad gains. I was very dedicated, my main issue is time, I don't wanna get up at 5 to work out but it looks like I will have to.
>>40567923
Ok sorry for my mean comment. If that is when you have to go then that is when you have to go. Just make sure you are getting enough rest. If you really did fall into a rhythm then you can do it again.
What time of day do you guys workout? How did you /fit/ it into your schedule?
>>40567684
As early in the morning as I can possibly muster. It makes me feel good and mellow the rest of the day, not tired, but my body just feels good.
If my work interferes I just workout after, but it kinda sucks cuz I'm already smoked from my delivery job and its way more crowded.
>>40567684
depends on my situation
Before I had a job, I would go every day around 10
Then I got a job at a company that had a gym, so I would go there every day after work (I was the only one who used it... it was amazing)
I've since started my own company and work from home. I wake up, make a shake and drink it. Go to the gym by 8ish, then come home for a shower and make an egg breakfast.

>>40567784
How early are we talking here? I would have to be back by 8 to shower and stuff because I have school at 9. How much sleep do you guys get getting up early?

Hey /fit/, so I'm a 20 year old college student and it's pretty much impossible to attempt to eat healthy on campus. I really want to get in shape but I don't have a kitchen and can't cook anything in the dorms. Any suggestions on how to eat healthy. Should I just get an apartment?
yes an apartment is infinitely easier
but ther were salad and fruits at the food halls when i went to college. idk. fruits were kinda old sometimes but it worked?
>>40567397
Look up the nutrition facts for what you eat. At least in my state the school/food producer has to have some form of nutrition facts available
>>40567397
>it's pretty much impossible to attempt to eat healthy on campus.
With that attitude yes it is impossible.

Didn't notice one in the catalog, so I took the initiative

>>What does 5/3/1 mean?
google it
>>40567383
Its 5 divided by 3 divided by 1, which is obviously 1

I should've worded that better, I know it's a training program. I meant
> what is the significance of the title 5/3/1?
When will see strength wars in north America? I heard it was coming but still all the videos have European lifters. Any Canadian/American/Mexican /fit/izens that would compete? Do you think European competitors lurk /fit/

Probably soon but the people you would want to see compete have too much insecurity to risk losing
Those are some strong duckers on this show. But America is too tied up in fucking Ninja warrior to do some shit like this. I would love to see some of our favorite YouTube fitness personalities go on this show and get raped by the faceless
ITT: Quotes that inspire you to continue on.
"While many can pursue their dreams in solitude, other dreams are like great storms blowing hundreds, even thousands of dreams apart in their wake. Dreams breathe life into men and can cage them in suffering. Men live and die by their dreams. But long after they have been abandoned they still smolder deep in men's hearts. Some see nothing more than life and death. They are dead, for they have no dreams."

Griffith did nothing wrong
"At dawn, when you have trouble getting out of bed, tell yourself: “I have to go to work — as a human being. What do I have to complain of, if I’m going to do what I was born for — the things I was brought into the world to do? Or is this what I was created for? To huddle under the blankets and stay warm?” - Marcus Aurelius

I often wonder what it'd be like to have a wise ruler. Then I just read Meditations and you're back in a time when there was such a thing as a good emperor.

Perhaps you should increase the amount of weight that you clean

I just started training with a guy who'd never bothered with the gym before, and he easily hit 1pl8 on OHP, and 2pl8 on bench - the magic numbers.
He's a fucking builder though, used to hauling extremely heavy shit up ladders, often with his life on the line if he fails.
Just because you're new to the gym doesn't mean you aren't already strong as fuck.
>>40567195
I get that. It's just kind of depressing when I've been busting my ass for 2 months to get my form right and put 30 lbs on my clean, and this guy shows up and pulls even heavier
Can you guys help me figure out how much protein/calories is? I had to get to go and couldn't prepare my own food.

Anyone else get pumped up and excited to do something, but only when you see anime characters doing it?
I'm not exactly fit, but after watching pic related, I got so excited that I biked about a mile around my neighborhood. Wore the fuck out of me, but god damn it, the show is so good Imma do a whole mile tomorrow too. I think it makes me feel like I'm on their team and have friends or something like that.
>>40566875
Check out Eyeshield 21, Hajime no Ippo and Slam Dunk.
>>40566875
Also check out Haikyuu. Yes, it seems like fujoshit but its genuinely fucking fantastic, and can and will make you hype for workouts, volleyball, and jumping in general.
Also doubling down on the Hajime no Ippo rec.
And its fujoshit coded, but Big Windup is pretty enjoyable.
>>40566875
That show fucking sucks. I watched like 30 episodes waiting for it to get good.
It's a terrible show with some decent characters.
Midousuji was kinda cool, though.
Guys something really weird is happening to me. I used to be a video game playing neet, until I got tired of being a fat loser and started working out.
But today I did something I never thought I would do. I chose to lift weights instead of using my free time to play games. What's happening to me?

I can't have fun with single player games anymore regardless of how good they are. It is just a chore. I still play multiplayer games with friends on occasion.
I think you naturally lose some interest in forms of escapism when better things come along.
