Nearly two weeks ago I arm wrestled a bodybuilder at work to see how long I could last, the guys huge. The next day a shooting pain down my arm but felt like it was the bicep and tricep muscles that were damaged (not joint pain). Doctors put me on light duties for a few days, pain went away but only while I'm not doing any heavy lifting. As soon as I try gym or use tools like hammers or anything like that I get a shooting pain down my arm and then it looses all strength and basically throbs and goes limp for a while. I've now had 2 weeks without gym but it's not gone. Obviously I will see a doctor but I just want a heads up on how serious this could be or if it's normal, maybe a timeframe on how fast these things heal?

Had a somewhat similar issue with slight tear in bicep tendon...the only thing to do is just stop using your arm as much as possible, it'll never heal unless you sit back and it it out

I always see people posting about how they hate other fat people after getting /fit/ because they saw how easy it is.
My experience was the total opposite; it's hard as fuck to get started but then easy to stick with when you see results. Instead of binging on chips while I watch anime I'm going out with people in the evenings. I can jog outside without getting yelled at from cars. I can go to the pool and swim laps without feeling weird about it.
It is way easier to stay fit than to get fit

You're probably a beginner. Most would advise against making your own program.
Most of the recommended programs are supposed to give you a strength/asthetics compromise anyway. You could also try Fierce 5, Casey Butt's Routine or Allpro's (if you don't mind the slow increase).

Hey /fit/ 30 year oldfag here I weigh almost 300 pounds and I absolutely fucking hate it. I want to lose weight this year, I want to lose at least a hundred pounds. I recently got a job 20 minutes walking time from my house so I plan to walk to and from work everyday and I want to get ankle weights at some point and I'm wondering if that will help any.
I'm a very picky eater and when I was in jail 6 years ago for 7 months I went from 280 and came out 200. This was due to portioned meals and going to recreation time which mostly consisted of walking for an hour. So jail opened my food palette a lot so I eat a lot more varied foods today compared to 10 years ago.
But my pickyness is a massive problem since I don't want to eat healthier foods but I want to do fruit smoothies and protein shakes. Is that a good way to go?
I really want to make this effort, /fit/, I really do. I was born with knock knee and my left knee has arthritis already and my right will get it at some point too. Despite being as fat as I am I can move quite well but not as well as I would like.

Ketosis means your body starts burning fat for its main fuel source instead of carbs, which makes it a lot easier for your body to burn off your body fat for energy. If it doesnt have calories it won't affect your weightloss. Sucralose doesn't magically negate calories in/calories out.
The only thing is that some people have anything sweet (so even artificial sweeteners) and then it makes them more prone to overeating and other stuff like that, the way actual sugar/sweet stuff does, so its YMMV kind of thing. If you're losing weight the same rate with or without it, there's really no need to deprive yourself of something good, plus it's a good substitute for juice and soda and whatnot

"Diet" beverages and stuff like that CANNOT cause you to gain weight if they have zero calories. When those studies talk about people gaining weight they're talking about how drinking diet sodas makes you more likely to say "I had a diet coke/mio/whatever so I'm fine with having a big mac and large fries, piece of cheesecake, an extra piece of pizza etc."
