What does fit think of yoga? I usually do pushups and crunches for my routine but I've been having lower back pain and yoga seems to be the only thing that helps. I've been noticing flexibility gains and core strength gains. am I a faggot?

However too much flexibility facilitates greater injuries further down the line.
Do the basic flexibility movements and strengthening movements of it

Yes. Started about 3 weeks ago. I can do 1 plate Squat and Dead-lift now though and it feels pretty good. My reason for lifting was to help me sleep and fight back the atrophy that was giving me lower back pains. I'll get there. I've no interest in getting big but I like to do the best I can for focus.

Dating a girl? My philosophy is that the girl I want to be with will find me. Me trying to find her will only leave me unsatisfied with the result.

I say all this to say during the year of constant sex, food, drinking, and weed, while it was fun, it ruined my gains. I used to bench 225 lbs but now I struggle with 185 lbs. It took me an entire summer to detox and get my health back in line and i'm still recovering mentally from that BS.

Also keep in mind I was a weak willed faggot and let her talk me into alot of shit, even though when I met her I was fit asf and smashed bitches constantly. She was 21 and I was 19 so take that as you will.

Women are worth it only if you keep them last priority to everything else. I assume you're a young man, you should have 10000 other things to worry about other then a wet warm whole to stick your dick into (fitness, diet, work, hobbies). Focus on those first and ultimately woman who you truly enjoy being around will enter your life organically. You have to be okay with being by yourself first, and not putting pussy on such a high pedestal that if you aren't getting it, it makes you feel bad. If you aren't secure in yourself, its no way you're in any position to deal with all the problems and emotions of another human being. Worry about yourself and what you want to do and pussy will follow down the line.

What does /fit/ think of this routine?

It claims to be a balanced Upper/Lower routine. By that I mean it tries to hit all muscle groups with similar volume, for smoother progression.

That's way to much volume if you're actually doing 5/3/1...if you are interested in doing that program I highly recommend getting the book.

Depending on your level of lifting experience it doesn't look bad as a hybrid routine. A few things IMO though...

1. Switch the primary movement of the day to 5x5 / 3x5 / 8x3

2. Switch weighted chin-ups to Day C and body weight pull-ups on Day A

3. Get rid of leg presses. Add Dumbbell Lunges or Hip Thrusts instead if you are inclined to.

4. Switch deadlifts to RDLs on Day B. Switch back squats to front squats on Day D.

5. I would pick better accessories / optional exercise, but if those work best for you then keep them

1. Switch EZ-Bar Curls to Dumbbell Hammer Curls / Straight Barbell Curls

2. Skullcrushers are fine, but I would also do close grip bench press as well.

3. Switch Dumbbell flyes to cable flyes and do them on Day A instead of Day C. Do lateral raises and face pulls on Day C.

4. I would drop Shrugs on Day D and add power cleans as a warm up for deadlifting or OHP on Day C

5. All of those ab movements are pretty crappy tbqh famalamadingdong...these are objectively better:

On Day B:
45° Decline Sit-ups
45° Decline Russian Twists

On Day D:
Hanging Leg Raises (toes to bar)
Ab Wheel Rollouts.

Also all accessory movement rep ranges should be 8 to 10 at the most...15 to 20 is retarded
