there is a mysterious genetic component to it also, which is not well researched or understood. Two identical looking people might have an incredible disparity in power despite mechanically doing the same movement.

Since you have shit cardio presumably as a fatty, you will exhaust quickly in a fight unless you can land your killer ko punch quickly.

Actual fights between untrained people are often over in seconds as nobody knows how to block or dodge a punch and it's just two people throwing and one gets lucky and connects.

Here is a fun exercise for you to do right now, stand up wherever you are, now hop up on the balls of your feet and bounce up and down continously, stay on your forefoot, now keeping your legs slightly wider than shoulder width apart, move around your room for the next 3 minutes while keeping your hands tight and high on your face.

Now imagine, adrenaline pumping, not knowing how to breathe when you punch, also punching and not just hopping around, and having to react to another person. Yeah, this is why most people can't fight, takes a whole set of athletic ability which needs to be trained for.

I can't motivate myself to work hard on anything or have goals. I know other people have quarter life crises but my life is fucking zooming past, not due to a boring 9-5 job but my inability to do anything with my free time.

I am a Stirnerite that knows deep down that all advice is trivial and worthless.

I hate that there are ten trillion topics considered important and that there is always someone willing to call you a retard if you don't know it. I fully realise that it's all social signalling nonsense. Yet it still weighs on me. There's always someone willing to say you only need to work hard if you're stupid. Or you're stupid not to work hard. Or that procrastination is great- or not. Or anything.

I feel like everything is so trivial it's not worth doing or extremely frustrating and out of my reach.

I see successful people and almost all of them just got in to the right institutions and took the elevator up with tonnes of support. I go to graduate assessment days and am surrounded by normie clones who are interviewed by their normie clones. I have almost no chance. And these are interviews for "respected" jobs that usually do pointless things.

Right off the bat, I have to say this post really connected with me. I think a lot of us are going through a similar struggle. And I don't think there is a well-known, one-size-fits-all solution.

The only tiny amount of progress I've made in this area is:
(1) There seems to be some hard-coded phenomenon in us where accomplishment begets accomplishment. So perhaps try to keep some momentum up in your life?
(2) Loving yourself sounds cheesey, but I always feel less inclined to waste my own time if I realise I actually like myself and want to help myself. But part of this is realising its okay to be mediocre and sometimes fail. It's okay you only read 5 books.

About Stirner: I try to keep in mind that he died on the run from debtors and largely alone (only 2 people at his funeral, IIRC). But I do love his idea of using ideas as tools.

The people who we so often see as virtuosos or geniuses typically have foregone so much balance in their personal lives - but that is hidden from us.

Again, I'm just a pleb, but in terms of something concrete: why not find just one (relatively healthy) thing in your life you genuinely love, and do that for a while? Forget 'being productive'. From where I stand, it sounds like you're living a pretty decent life. I don't really understand what you're so upset at.

I am a serious trainer though, gym at least once a day, even Christmas day etc, never drink or see friends because either doing weights or resting up. A lot of effort and sacrifice

I've looked it from all perspective.

I have literally no time to make meals myself and I'm not making any progress in strength because of it.

Just lift weights and get used to eating actual food with some level of portion control.

When you have the habit of preparing and eating healthy meals, then you can worry about the number of calories in each meal.

If you lift weights, as the fat comes off you will simply expose your muscles. They might not be big muscles. But you can worry about that later.
Or do it the other way around.
Bulk now, then cut.

Tricep Routine

When focusing on triceps, I would always do chest before so my triceps would already be kinda worked out. Then, I did tricep pushdowns then overhead dumbbell tricep extension to complete my tricep workout.

I wanna try to focus on each head of the triceps now so instead of doing just those two, I'm gonna do close-grip chest press (all 3 heads but not so good on long head), overhead dumbbell tricep extensions (long), tricep pushdown (lateral), and reverse tricep pushdowns (medial).

What order do you guys think would be best to do these 4 exercises? I was thinking of doing it in the order listed above, since I should go from heavy compound presses down to isolation exercises, but if close-grip works out medial/lateral and not really the long, shouldn't I do the long head first and then do close grip and then the last two? Thanks for anyone who responds
