How bad is it to have 1 beer per day? I'm not cutting or anything so I don't care about the extra calories. But will it have any effect on my gains?
Alcohol blunts protein synthesis from elevating to optimal anabolic levels.
So if you're interesting in maximising your gains, you should lay off the alcohol entirely, or at east only drink once a week, or fortnight, or month etc. Everyday isn't good.

One beer a day is fine if you're not cutting, but drinking copious amounts and getting drink certainly will affect your gains, TRUST ME. The amount of times I've basically nullified my training session of a day by getting drunk is depressing.
>1 beer a day
What's the point then? I'm pretty sure a 14 year old girl wouldn't get a buzz off of one beer
Would taking ~200g of fast digesting carbs (like marsh-mellows) 1 hour before a lifting session result in a better pump/vascularity?
>not eating poptarts
>>42762828
Yeah but only if the night before you eat a few grams of salt and drink a lot of water.
You need the sodium/water in your body to carry the excessive carbs to the muscle cells.

Existence well what does it matter? I exist in the best terms I can. The past is now part of my future, the present is we'll out of hand
How do you reconcile with the fact that you experience infinite unconsciousness after you die?

Existance gets tiresome sometimes at 24. At 80 I figure I'll be ready for the eternal night.
>>42762551
lol I don't care. It's going to be just like my life was before I was born, but I would have left behind my legacy.
Any Ausbros know if Gear-Pheonix is legit for buying gear?

Is it 1 Rep or 5?
http://www.strawpoll.me/13871770
1 rep = you're not a novice lifter any more
5 reps = Things are starting to get serious
These are just generalizations though and dependent on natural ability and bodyweight
>>42762525
1/2/3/4 for one means you are officially a strong person
>>42762525
10x10 gvt style, obviously
practically anyone can do 1/2/3/4 for 5 reps nigga
>skinny dyel asks me to spot him on bench
>rack my curl bar in the squat rack, sigh, and begrudgingly accept
>dude better give me a fat tip
>makes me spot 135 x 8 reps for 4 sets
>this is fuckin embarassing but I'm thinking about the money at the end
>dude finally gets up and says he's done.
>I wait there patiently with my hand out, waiting to be tipped
>Dyel stutters "Th-th-thanks anon, I'll spot you next time" and hobbles away
>mfw
Tired of these fuckin mooches thinking spotting should be free. Should be tipping me 60% of what you tip the dude at the front desk, If you cant handle that build your own gym pussy

19 year old here. I'm hoping on the creatine bandwagon and I just drank some today. in high school my former football teammates made bigger gains thanks to creatine and now I wanna try it. I won't go bald right? The rumor usually goes that if baldness rubs in the family, creatine speeds it up. no male in my family is bald except for my grandfather, who had chemotherapy for his prostate cancer. I'll be fine right?
>>42762334
I am here to collect your natty card
>>42762339
but your body produces creatine
>>42762334
you will be fine, just dont take above the recommend dose and no, creatine doesnt make a person bald nor accelerated baldness
if i have money right now, i would buy it, can you can 15 dollars so i can buy creatine
>>42762334
lmao risking baldness at 19 to hit 185lb bench

did you get more indian?
As long as you're not smaller than most girls why do fit cares about your height?
This is the kind of question someone that's 5'10 would ask
Average height 5'9-5"11 isn't bad at all. You just have to have other things going for you, your height isn't working for or against you
>>42762114
Because girls don't want a guy that is the same height or a bit taller than them, they want 6ft or bigger.
/fit/ what is wrong with me?
how do i unfuck myself?
Shave and lift weights, increasing whst u lift every time u enter the gym

Hairy nipple ring
congratz! youre pregnant!
Sorry in advance if this is a messed-up format. It’s my first green text story and I’m new here.
>at the gym today
>finishing my workout with reverse and behind the back forearm curls.
>only place that had one free was one of the three squat racks
>found one seemingly abandoned
>asked the guy next to it if it was free
>he hadn’t seen anyone on it for a while
>another guy (we will call him grey shirt) chimed in
>“thinks someone is on it, but he walked away”
> during peak hours, so the gym is packed.
>Beyond there being weight on the bar it was entirely unmarked
>no towel, shaker bottle, workout bag, etc.
>told grey shirt that we’ll give the guy another 60 seconds
>I thought it seemed fair
>60 seconds pass so we unload the bar
>Just as we completely unload it, the other guy (we will call him white shirt) comes back stating he was “using it”
>told him we waited for a while and that it was unmarked
>White shirt now looks like he’s about to cry and goes to talk to grey shirt
>about to start
>grey shirt comes over and asks if we would switch racks
>couldn’t see a reason not to, everyone wins
>even offered to swap the bars so they didn’t have to load it up again
>After all said and done we started our workout
>In between my first and second set, I noticed grey shirt was staring at us (looking kind of pissed off)
>As I looked back, he looked away
>A couple seconds later he was doing it again
>this time with his phone pointed at us
>this continued the entire time we were doing the forearm workout.
>After the workout I was doing leg raises
>looked back over to the rack and grey shirt was doing it again (this time from across the gym).
>I concluded my workout
>His back was to me and was texting someone
>As I passed I saw the picture of me doing leg raises being sent to whoever he was texting
>baffled that that just happened and I didn’t even think to ask why he was doing it until I had already left (I’m generally socially awkward)
I’m not entirely sure why or what his intentions are, but with internet douchebags the way they are, I’m not sure what’s going to come of it or what to do about it.
He was probably venting to a friend. White shirt is probably super sensitive and you triggered him apparently.
The part that makes no sense is if they know each other why didn't he just say "my friend is using that" to you or "you left so they used it" to his friend.
But nothing is going to happen except those two guys won't invite you out for drinks and a 3 way now.
I'm really hoping so. I have a lot of anxiety already (to the point that I'm medicated). I just work really hard at the gym and don't want to become a laughing stock. I go there as my form of relaxation. If I am embarrassed to go back there I loose my main form of stress relief.
