Hey guys I need some advice/help. I am currently trying to cut at 1700 calories but i've basically hit a plateu and I can't figure out what to do.
Basically I started cutting March 2016. I was eating at around 1500 calories (just basic counting in my head) and losing weight just fine. I started out at 116 kg (256 lb) and was losing just over 1 lb a week for the past year. I originally hit a plateau at 90kg (198 lb) to counteract this I upped my calories to 2000 and started tracking them properly, I also started going to the gym twice a day first session: 1 hour strength and 15 minutes cario and the second session was just 30 minutes of cario. That worked straight away and I lost 2kg in the first week but the second week I maintained. I pulled a muscle in my calf and since (3 weeks ago) stopped going to the gym for the second cardio session and to compensate I lowered my calories back down to 1700. But for the last 3 weeks I have maintained in weight (I weight my self at the same time of the day consistently so fluctuations shouldn't be an issue).
I am a 23-year-old, 183cm (6'0) tall, 88 kg (193 lb) male and I don't think I should lower my calories anymore as from everything I have read on these sites that is considered quite low to cut at. Before it is mentioned I am positive that it is not an issue with my calorie tracking, I weigh everything I eat including butter/oil used in cooking. The only thing I dont weigh is the bread I have on my sandwhiches for lunch as i'm fairly sure that the nutritional pannel would be correct per slice.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
just eat less holy shit this isn't rocket science

1,700 is pretty low already for a 6 ft male though. if i use TDEE calculators set to sedentary and 25% body fat (I don't actually know mine but I think its less) it still comes out at 2,200 cals.
>think I'm low T

Who is /fat/ for? Fat members of /fit/ who want to learn how to eat right, lift weights, and lose fat. Here we ask others for advice and give moral support to one another. We all know how hard it first is and we all have to get through it to better ourselves. At the end of the day this is a support general whose goal is to help and motivate the chubby channers who need it. Please be warned that there are some chronic idiots who post in this general giving horrible advice that doesn't work for them or anybody. If you see something that contradicts what the sticky says, ignore it.

I don't think that's miring desu
intense cardio before breakfast with some cofee and THEN breakfast, excelent for burning fat or RIP gains?
Really doesn't make that much difference for calorie burning. Might decrease gains because less energy, might help gains because full stomach isn't slowing you down.
>breakfast
>still isnt IF master race
hummmm...

What about if you are making exercise with an empty stomach you first burn glucose

Fasting bros: get in here!
I started IF 16/8 a few months ago. Been liking the feeling of fasted cardio. I decided to start doing longer fasting. Just hit 24 hours kf what I plan to be a 48 hour fast.
Anh tips or comments? Let's hear experiences.
i was in a 16/8 without knowing about this, lost a lot of weight
now i'm unemployed and fat again, but i'm trying start to do something
>>40863381
I can't imagine a longer fast being good for your gains. I did it with carb cycling way back when and it got me shredded but the fasting could have just been me better managing my intake, haven't tried it again
I've heard that 24-hour+ fasting can help your body burn off extra, unneeded cells such as flabby skin and "excess protein" (such as the kind that accumulates in the brain causing alshimers[sp?]).
Thoughts?
Questions that don't deserve their own thread:
Ive been training calisthenics for a year. I'm worried I lack the explosive energy I could get from weightlifting. To compensate, I have a pool that I'll bob around in the deep end motionless until one second, I'll thrash around violently. Then pause, rest, and go again.
Is this beneficial? It feels good and I can't think of another way to train explosively without heavy lifting

Does anybody know of any tasty, high protein, low carb food that's easy to prepare? So far I've just been eating hot dogs.
Nice muscles, kid. But what good are they against my sharpened blade?

Great thread mate.

A little while ago, I started toughening my skin by trying to cut myself with a butter knife, and working my up to duller knives. Right now I can withstand a pretty good cut from a kitchen knife, but it's not crazy to imagine that if I keep it up I could take a ninja sword cut in a couple of months.
Anyone here actually involved in sports?
If not, why?
If yes, what is it and how has lifting improved your ability in said sport?
